The Reservoir Inn, Thornton.

I go here quite a lot, I love it,I really recommend it's great for all ages my kids loved the kids menu it tickled there taste buds and me and my husband enjoyed our delicious 3 course meal! We will definitely come back more and excited to try loads of more amazing dishes.

Food was ok, but staff was too busy talking to each other, rather than wanting to take our order, the youngest of the waitresses gave us a sweat menu and couldn't be bothered to ask what we wanted from it. Got the impression that they didn't want customers. Because of the good reviews we travelled 8 miles to dine there after a day out from Birmingham to market bosworth. BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!!

Although the waiter and waitress were polite and helpful, that is about where the nice experience finished. If you order anything deep fried i.e. chips you will end up with a chip containing 50% potato and 50% frying oil. I ordered fish and chips and on first sight noticed oil on the plate and very large cut chips with a very socked in oil look, well the taste was as bad with the dominant taste of oil only. When the waitress asked how the food was I said full of oil, and although there was an offer to remake I turned it down as I didn’t want the wait along side more of these chip’s. The fish was as bad but was able to take off most of the batter and eat the nice fish. Now the bill part my fiancée and I thought the starters were great, so to pay for the starter’s and one main which seemed very fair. After speaking the chief (who obviously doesn’t try their own food) said NO full bill has to be paid and “that’s the way we make chips here” we still didn’t pay all the bill and walked out. Please don’t eat/try any fried food here or better still avoid altogether.

We had a great night, from the moment we walked in being greeted by the lovely friendly staff, to the brilliant service and absolutely awesome food! Definitely will be coming again ☺️

Always enjoyed good food and drink here at a fair price. Clean. A great stop of after a walk around the reservoir, should be open longer hours to amplify the last comment. Sometimes we have ended up in one of the competitors due to them not being open. Maybe just bar service would be a great suggestion.

First class food, service and surroundings. Fish and fizz Friday best fish and chips ever! The home made puddings full of flavour. Recommended to my friends. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Lovely pub dog friendly. The food was excellent quality. Can't fault it.

With a Rustic looking interior, well mannered and nicely presented staff serving great food. What else can you ask for. Highly recommended. See you soon....

Lovely pub, trendy but cosy. Great choice of gin and great food menu. I had the best Ham and leek pie ever. The staff and landlord were really friendly and helpful. We will definitely return

Great Ambience. Attentive Service by the lady who looks after us.The food is impeccable. On offer is a great selection of traditional Ales and Craft Beer's. Food is sourced locally so would strongly recommend this gem.
