Daisy Hill Hospital

Just want to place on your records my experience as a patient in the A&E department yesterday 13th April 2.15 pmI had been advised by my GP to attend , from the minute I arrived I was treated with the utmost of care and respect by receptionist, triage nurse, nurse who done my bloods, the radiologist who carried out my X-ray, however, I wish I could recall the name of the young Doctor who carried out my diagnosis and treatment, he was the nicest, gentle and reassuring young professional. So proud of this Dr and his nurses in what can only be described as a seriously busy department, working their hardest in extremely challenging conditions with the utmost of kindness. Thankyou all so much

A good, well staffed ED Department, lots of capable hard working Medical and Nursing, staff. I worked there as a doctor for 2 months. An important issue remains the unrealistic expectations of patients and relatives. Health care workers are also human beings, with limits on how much they can endure.

Genuinely cannot failt the care given at hospital. The nurses on the elective ward Dervla and Michelle were so so helpful and seemed happy and welcoming. Nothing was too much. Dr Martel was very encouraging and provided all the information needed, plus did a great job and Ferghal the anaesthesia nurse was really a joy to be around. There are so many others I didn't get their names but not one bad report. Everyone was very sympathetic to fact surgery is daunting for a patient despite the fact they do this day in day out. Food was good and atmosphere was lovely.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to the exceptional staff at Daisy Hill Hospital.During a short illness our son brother and friend was treated with great care and dignity. Also the support we were given as a family was very professional and genuinely sincere.And for this we are extremely grateful.

Was born here nearly 32 years ago and have been as a child to a&e when I was 8 in 2000 and I remember it very well as I screamed the place down having broken the tip of my finger.I also had a visit with my father in 2015 when it was very busy but still treated super nice.Not sure if covid and cuts to staff and budget has changed all that sinceIt just seems the NHS is struggling as much as the patients are due to all this.My sister was born here also in 2000 so it seems to be a decent place.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I received at this hospital. During my stay, I encountered a nurse named Beatrice who displayed unprofessional behavior, abusive language, and mood swings. This created a distressing environment and compromised the quality of care. As a patient, I expected to be treated with respect and compassion. I hope the hospital takes immediate action to address this issue and ensure patients are treated properly in the future.

I was there 10 weeks back. Staff. Are brilliant... None stop.Nurses and doctors. Were and still are best working force in A hospital in this country..Food was lovely.Great care. Pleasant. And down to earth.

Absolutely fantastic staff, totally professional and on point with regards to looking after my partner Irene after her recent illness. Thank you so much.
