Me and my son come in to the shop regularly for our hair cut. All the barbers in the shop make you feel welcome and at ease. Alf is really professional and takes his time to ensure perfection. I highly recommend coming here, great service every time.

I have been seeing Alfie at for years now, and I can honestly say that he is the best barber I have ever had. His attention to detail is second to none, and I wouldn't trust anyone else to cut my beard. Alfie takes the time to really listen to what I want and always delivers the perfect cut. If your lid needs a chop, go to Black Moth. Alfie's been cutting my hair for several months now and always does a cracking job with the scissors and razor. Top notch gentleman with a top notch mullet and moustache. As a gardener I wish I could employ him to do my client's topiary. The owner's new shop with a tattoo studio is a very nice upgrade too. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Attended Black Moth Barbers for the first time this month as my hairdresser Alfie now works there. It's a great place, with a very friendly and chilled vibe.Alfie has been cutting my hair for over a year and has helped me style it whilst growing it from very short to a longer style. He is very knowledgeable and takes time to explain best way to style hair and how to keep it healthy. I know I can sit in the chair and let him do his thing without a worry!

Love this place. Not only the best barbers, but the best atmosphere too. I've had haircuts from so many different barbers in Essex, but there's no barber the same as Alfie. He's just a genuine lad who is clearly passionate about what he does.

Great barber shop all in all. Everyone in there is positive and energetic. Lovely atmosphere with a cool aesthetic too. I’ve been getting my hair cut by Alfie for a while now who always does a great job of figuring out the style I’m going for. His skin fades are on point and the scissor work is top class too.
