I wanted a newly purchased leather jacket lengthened by three inches , the supplier wouldn't do it so a turned to Zig zags and they agreed to do it. And they did a brilliant job. The staff are very knowledgeable and most obliging.I won't go past them in the future.Thank youKind regardsIan

Called in today. Rang the bell waited at least five minutes. Rang again still no response so left. Appreciate they could have been busy but at least we could have been acknowledged. Very disappointing. Went to The Galleries and had fantastic service.

I popped in with two wedding outfits that needed shortening. Thankfully, as it was a simple alteration where the outer layer of the dresses needed cutting it was done there and then. Very pleased. Still cost £50 but saved me time I didn’t have to do them myself correctly. Money well spent!

I have such mixed feelings I don’t know where to start. I’ve been so nervous about finding the right place to have my wedding dress altered. zigzag came recommended and were absolutely lovely. I took my dress about 10 weeks before the big day and understood this was pushing it but they managed to fit me in and did a fantastic job alteration wise. I felt so comfortable and had such a laugh with the lovely young lady who served me.They couldn’t do enough. There were marks on my dress when I dropped it off. A couple on the the right of the skirt and one on the bodice. Nothing on the front. I came to try it on at my final fitting. Couldn’t fault it. The lady helped adjust my skirts and when I looked down there was a red mark the size of a pin head right in middle of my skirt. Noticeable to everyone, not just a fussy bride. She was adamant it had always been there. It hadn’t. I touched it and it smudged. It was still wet. I’m adamant she’d pricked her finger on a pin. It happens! But to not be careful around a wedding dress then blame the bride, claim no involvement? They did take it in the back and clean it. It’s still there but fainter. I’ll know it’s there and honestly it’s just tainted the whole experience. Accept responsibility, and don’t try and shove blame on the customer. It’s made me even more self conscious now and I’ll spend my day hoping nobody notices. Too terrified to try and get it out myself and do not have the time to get it to a dry cleaners.Very disappointed in what was an overall wonderful experience

After persevering with a broken zip slider on my Richa leather motorcycle jacket for a while, I'd finally had enough and contacted Zig Zags to see if they could help. Sharon replied via email quickly saying they could replace the slider so I dropped the jacket off and left it with the team.It took just over a week to hear back and unfortunately they weren't able to find a slider to fit the bespoke zip that was on the jacket so they contacted me to ask if I wanted a new zip fitting. I agreed to the new zip and they fitted it the same day and I collected the jacket the next.I even asked if they would be able to make a little leather pull tab for the new zip to aid with fastening while wearing gloves which they were more than happy to do there and then.Very impressed, thanks once again!

I took my son's favourite jacket for repair after he made two tears in the fabric. I was very impressed by the care and professionalism of the staff. They really know their stuff and made the repairs invisible! We are both delighted. The cost was very reasonable and I found dealing with the staff an absolute pleasure. Top-class service!

Having tried to contact this company about my issues, my messages have been ignored so I feel I need to leave an honest review in regards to my experience with them for my wedding dress and other items. This company came highly recommended and being a local business I wanted use them instead of a bigger chain. I took my dress in to be altered and it was pinned and measured etc and I asked the person who was measuring it could it be steamed and cleaned within the alteration process which I was assured it would be. I collected my dress around 6-7 weeks later, tried it on in shop (albeit very quickly as there was one person on the desk who was manning the desk, assisting customers and helping me try my dress on and seemed stressed and rushed). My dress was put in its storage bag in the shop and taken home where upon looking closer there were marks on my dress! I contacted the shop who said to bring it back and they would sort it to be told I would need to pay £80 to have it cleaned. I had just paid £270 for alterations and was assured it would be steamed throughout this process but the girl on the desk looked through my order and said no there is no steaming on this order! I again contacted the shop and said why am I being charged for cleaning when I've already been assured it would be done with my alterations. I was assured it would be done with no charge which to their due it was. My husband to be then took his suit trousers in to be taken up shortly after and when he got them back they were far too short which confused me as they had been measured and pinned where he wanted them, another message sent and ask to return to be fixed which again they did. I wish it ended there but on the morning of my wedding as I was getting into my dress, one of the bust support cups I paid almost £40 to be added to my dress fell off on one side which meant it kept moving all day and I had to keep readjusting it and it eventually fell off completely. Upon closer inspection the bust cups were help in by two of the tiniest stitches and were not very secure at all. This was an added stress I did not need on my wedding morning at all! I contacted Zig Zags a few days after my wedding and told them about this issue and my message has been read and ignored so I felt no choice but to leave this review. I looked to leave a Facebook page review but the option to leave a review has now been removed from their page. The review would have been 1 star but they did rectify the first two issues, however the issue with my dress then to be ignored after contacting them has left me unable to rate any higher.

I have just visited Zig Zags in the hope they could work a miracle on my wedding dress.The ladies are so caring, helpful, honest and supportive, they are miracle workers!I can’t wait to see my dress in a weeks time!Thank you so so much ladies (especially Irene - you are an absolute star) xxx

I would like to say a massive thank you to the team at Zig Zags for altering my work uniform. This was a very quick service from sending all the to Washington in the North East from Leeds, within 48hours I had them returned. I would highly recommend this delivery service. Thank you so much.
