From the start, communication with Scott was very prompt and clear with emails, the project plan and timeline. Even when getting quotes, Scott was the friendliest, the most knowledgeable and communicated the best from his inspection. We used Traditional Roofing to repair our flat roof which had taken a battering over the past few rough winters, and they did a stellar job. The team of lads were great, very hard working and polite which is far and few between to find these days.Not only did Traditional fix our flat roof to the highest standard and fit new gutters, the team also made sure that the garden was cleared after the job and even did wee bits and bobs for us as and when required. I have used Traditional Roofing & Building Ltd for a variety of roof repairs over the last 10 years including lead chimney flashing replaced, cast iron guttering repairs, two chimney stacks removed below roof level with new sarking and tiled over, zinc roof valley section replaced, metal gas flue chimney removed with new sarking and tiled over.You get a detailed estimate and prompt responses to any questions you may have before work starts. They also keep you informed of dates when work commences and throughout the repairs if needed. The customer service from this company is excellent, it's always pleasant to deal with these guys. The workmen themselves who carry out the repairs are highly skilled, professional and hard working. All work was carried out to an exceptionally high standard with the repairs blended into the original roof seamlessly and carried out using the correct materials and techniques. I have had absolutely no problems since. I rate Traditional Roofing and Building Ltd as one of the best companies I've dealt with and they are now always my first choice.

Chimney render. We had problems with damp ingress, and when Traditional Roofing investigated, there was serious stonework issues with our chimney - obvious when the old render was removed. Since the initial inspection by Gary and the work carried out by the friendly and professional team the job was done well, new render and pointing around the down pipe. Very satisfied with the job and Trad Roofing!

We received a very good survey that allowed us to plan repairs. We initially agreed to one repair but once scaffolding was up we decided to carry out another two. Traditional Roofing were responsive to this and helped us keep costs to plan. The work was of an excellent standard and we signed up to annual roof inspection service.

This project was dealing with a very complicated problem resulting in significant rainwater ingress from a whole range of sources, in a uniquely and quirkily designed house. I won't attempt to describe the architecture, but it is detached, has three storeys, numerous roofs, both pitched and flat, level and sloping parapets, and walls are a mixture of very thick sandstone cladding and harled areas.Before we engaged Traditional, we had roughly figured out the sources of the ingress, but not in detail, or the extent, and we certainly didn't know how to go about fixing it. Funnily enough, the roofs themselves were largely intact and watertight, so it was Traditional's building skills that were brought into play.Scott did an initial survey and confirmed that our suspicions were along the right track, then took some samples to check on the construction. He then gave us a best estimate" quote for what the work would cost.The work started just a few days later than the estimated date

UPATE 8 YRS LATER They really do mean their 10 yr guarantee! We had a small leak and they came back repeatedly until it was fixed, very helpful, no quibble. Can't recommend highly enough.Traditional replaced our flat roof, having done odds and ends of maintenance on it over the years, and we have always had an excellent experience. The contractors were friendly, communicated well and did a very thorough job. Through no real fault of their own we did have some issues; these were dealt with quickly and well, including over the weekend. They spared no effort to sort out the problems and I am very well pleased with the quality of their work. They were also the cheapest of the 3 quotes that I got and the final invoice was exactly as per estimate. Whole-heartedly recommend them.

Recently, we and our upstairs neighbours had a wall of our house re-pointed, along with chimney and roof repairs, carried out by Traditional Roofing and Building. Because our house is a listed building, we needed to be certain that any work done would be to the standards required for such a property. We requested estimates from a number of firms for this job, although two sets of relatives had already used Traditional Roofing and Building within the past few years and were very satisfied with the work completed. We were impressed by the specific detail about work needed, quantity, etc. in the estimate from Traditional Roofing and Building. Although their estimate was not the cheapest, we decided to contract that company. We were impressed by the openness and transparency of their work and communication, including an invitation to go up on the scaffolding to look at the work being done. Scott kept us up-to-date with the progress for the work and was always willing to answer specific questions. We consider that the company’s work was done reliably and to a high standard. The workmen were cheerful and pleasant, seemed to work well as a team and to take a pride in their work. We were particularly impressed by the end-of-job inspection by Scott to check that all the work had been completed to the standards required. All in all, we would be happy to use this firm again and intend to do so for the next stage of work for our building.
