After giving an initial quote, Carl and Steve came round for the fitting of my stove, it took them a couple of days to fit my stove, purely because my chimney was a bit of a difficult fit, otherwise it would have been a day to fit. A tough job for them which I have to admit that I would have struggled to do on my own. So highly recommend and reasonable price.a defra certified was completed as well as a plaque prominently displayed.

Carl did a full refurbishment of our multi fuel stove. He was very professional and easy to communicate with. I am extremely pleased with the end result. The stove is now operating efficiently and effectively and Carl is very knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely recommend this firm to others who may need their stoves refurbishing.

Several years ago I had a small wood-burner installed in my log cabin by Irons in the Fire, so they were my first port of call for installing a bigger wood burner in my house. They gave a much more competitive price than my builder and have done a good job with the second hand burner that we had purchased. It has been working pretty much flat out since it was installed and has saved us from having the heating on during the winter months.

Carl did a really first class job for us. Our marble fireplace had been very badly installed by another (King's Lynn) company, and was starting to fall apart. Carl explained the problem(s)and gave us a reasonable quote. He then waited patiently until we could sort our finances and book him some months later.In fact, due to further hidden problems, Carl ended-up largely rebricking our fireplace as well as repairing the original bad installation - at no extra charge. He also designed, procured and installed an iron draft blocker for us.He did an excellent job on all counts and left us with the correct certification (that the previous firm had failed to do). Highly recommended.

As I'm sitting in front of a beautiful roaring fire, I thought now would be a good time to leave a review of Irons in the FireI had Carl in over the summer to reopen and repair my VERY dilapidated chimney and I was incredibly impressed with the service. Carl surveyed the chimney inside and out, rebuilt and repointed the chimney stack and sourced irregular sized bird guards for the top. (a difficult task with factories shut in lock down!). He then removed half a tonne of twigs and expanding foam from inside the chimney, swept and smoke tested it and left with good advice on chimney care.All of this was done with skill and good humour and for a very reasonable price. I would not hesitate to recommend Irons in the Fire to any one needing work done.

Working with Carl was a great experience. We had two flue liners installed into old chimneys in a 1750’s house. Carl carried out a CCTV survey on each and identified the various problems. We agreed to have a wood burner in one and leave the other as an open fire. Finding someone who is registered to install open fires is quite hard now and Carl did an excellent job, persevering with a difficult install until it met all of the current standards and works perfectly. We are also delighted with the wood burner which really is very efficient. We are so pleased we chose Carl as he has done a first class job and used his experience to overcome a variety of different issues.

Irons in the fire took out my old retro open coal fire and replaced with a log burner, a excellent job was done. Clean and tidy work, Carl and Steve very polite and had good correspondence regarding the work and details by email, very good price, would recommend to anybody
