Brilliant venue, staff were superb, the vegan food layed out was lovely and the venue was comfortable and presented well. If needing rooms to hire in Leeds near city centre I doubt you would do better and probably not much better (if at all) further afield. Lovely one day conference attended. Thank you to the staff.

I attended morning service here on my way to visit family in Roundhay. I had driven 2 hours so it was good to have stewards direct me to a parking spot. On entering the facility I was welcomed by a friendly gentleman who answered my immediate questions and shared something of the activities that were taking place. The main auditorium was very attractive with comfortable seating. Preservice there was a loop video screening the various weekly group activities and other info. There was a banner at one side at the front indicating that prayer was available, I thought this was a great idea. The service began with a welcome, a psalm and a prayer, followed by contemporary sung praise songs. Several short informative prerecorded presentations gave some insight of ongoing events. There was also a brief but concise update on the financial overview of the church delivered by a trustee. This was very encouraging as it revealed how universally connected this church was to both the locality and the wider world. The sermon was strong and inspirational and kept close to the biblical themes. My single visit experience made me think that this is a church that is getting a lot of things right and doing it well. I was impressed by the enthusiastic congregation and the anointed praise, prayer, and preaching. The congregation comprised of many ethnic origins and age groups clearly comfortable together; the few verbal interactions I shared were all friendly and affirming. I am certainly looking forward to the possibility of attending again, perhaps next year.My one small suggestion would be that the sound system, although very clear, could have been just a little louder.

1 Cor 4:6 is a verse that all professing Christians should live by. Having attended BCC for a number of years, I can say that unfortunately the church is no different from Pentecostal / Charismatic churches where sound doctrine comes second to emotions and spiritual feelings / experiences, what is contained in the Word is exceeded under the guise of historical context and the like. There are the flashing and mood lights during worship, tithes (for members, although there is no biblical mandate to pay tithes for Christians,  the reference usually taken from Malachi refers to Israel and not anyone else: Malachi 3:1-18, praying / singing in the Spirit (the Bible refers to speaking in tongues, not praying in tongues or heart language: Acts 2:6-8, a gift given as the Spirit wills: 1 Corinthians 12:11, 28-30), no interpretation of tongues (1 Corinthians 14:13, 27-28). Biblical offices / positions / roles not being adhered to (using the oft used explanation that what was written by Paul was applicable to his time only and the particular church he was writing to but neglecting the fact that the letters are canon for churches throughout the ages, all Scripture is inspired by God. So if we begin to apply the principle to an area we are not comfortable with then we begin to compromise the Word of God).Apostle Paul urges us not to exceed the Word of God and we are cautioned against adding or taking away from the Word of God (Deuteronomy 4:1-2, Proverbs 30:5-6. I pray that BCC would follow this path even though it won't be popular in todays society.

A friend treated me to tea& toast in the cafe here yesterday morning and what a pleasant hour we had. They prepare tea properly in a teapot & another pot of hot water & a jug of milk - how it should be served! If you want snack /cakes /ices/sweets ..it's all there & it's fairly priced. This is an ideal meet up for a chat & within 5 mins walk to town. Lovely polite staff aswell - plenty of space for kids. I didn't know this cafe was here but certainly I'd recommend it!
