Popped in here for lunch with my grandson. Little tight for space with tables packed in. Dark wood so made the place seem even smaller!. Strong smell of chips throughout - simple food served quickly - medium portions. Takeaway counter for cakes pastries and bread also available. Appears popular with local people which can often be a good recommendation!

Went back to have my favourite pasty for the first in years. Not only am I pleased with the upkeep in quality of the beloved food I remember from my time working there, I'm also glad they're still providing kids with the first share of experience they've had and maintaining a high moral.Good work, Gay!

Lovely little cafe. Food was good although they had run out of some items on menu when we went in at 1 o'clock. The staff were competent but not over zealous.

We almost went to Gregg's and then wished we had.Sausage rolls too salty, annoying at the best of times but even less great when giving to small kids.Gingerbread made with some weird aromatic flavouring even our 1 year old rejected them.On reflection we should have gone to Gregg's. But wanted to support the local business. On the bright side the staff were friendly and got £10 out of us for some salty sausage rolls and funny tasting gingerbread.

The dark haired waitress was very helpful but the 2 blonde haired ones couldn't do enough for us. We were a group of 7 ladies

Went in today. Bought a small loaf, 2 x hot cross buns and 2 x pkts Easter Biscuits. £7:40 !Would have been less than 1/2 that amount at a supermarket. Won’t be back anytime soon.

I recently popped in for a sausage roll. It was lovely. The girls behind the counter were all Covid-19 compliant and I felt very safe visiting. I forgot to mention thier famous lardy cake I also purchased. I could probably feed a small family on it for several days. One of the longest standing bakery's in the area. I have to admit the interior is a little dated but you can easily look past that and get a really well valued meal.

Stunned by 5 star hygiene rating. Just watched the assistant handling fresh rolls putting on shelf taking off shelf without gloves. Dirty cup delivered to table, put back on shelf when asked for replacement. Bakery looks lovely, but food handling needs improvement

We won't be coming back. Over cooked breakfast, the only things not reheated were the bread and eggs, I'm just not a fan of reheated sausages and bacon. They were so overcooked we couldn't eat them. It's not like they take long to cook from fresh.... undercooked/solid jacket potatoe.2 starts as the waiting staff were lovely and polite.

Went in for a fried breakfast awful deep fried bacon and sausage a slice of tomato one mushroom and beans all served on a child's plate. A prawn jacket potato should be easy enough small potato no butter so very dry with prawns and a very small amount of salad on a child's plate. The plates are the only way I can describe them. The order was taken wrong so the side order of fries turned up later. All you can hear is the woman in the kitchen shouting when an order is ready. Poor food and service all round
