Manners maketh man. It may be well worth remembering this ancient phrase. The Wyverns heritage I believe is quite mystical but a; national flag, fearsome creature, heraldic emblem, all conjure up images of bravery, fortitude and forebearance. It's funny but in my good old days the teachers were all very special. And held in the highest esteem by most of the pupils. I think that everyone else around the village and neighbouring schools and colleges also felt the same. Especially the pupils who had left school to embark upon the arduous task of adulthood.I think that I was very lucky to receive a lot of information about what to do at school from the teachers. I missed my favourite subjects of; Art, music and sports and instead concentrated on; Environmental Studies, Technical Drawing, Geology and Metal Work. Some say to little avail.Unfortunately the school had a series of domestic abuse and violence problems that left some pupils(including myself)quite seriously handicapped. The additional burden would severely hamper our progress over the many fences and obstacles that we were to encounter in the big race.(of growing up into young adults)And if it wasn't for the teachers careful advice of a healthy supply of reading material to be available at my disposal I don't think that I would have been able to connect with anything much at all. In my later years. So to the Bishops of Winchester we all owe a tremendous debt. Not just for their length and breadth of vision. But also for their universal message of Christianity and Spiritual beliefs. Painstakingly inscribed on fine papers, sharpened quills guiding darkest solutions.

Very supportive teachers- I would say that the maths, English and humanities departments were especially good. Teachers genuinely wanted to help you and they would make an effort to try and help you as best they could. Lessons were fun as you could have a laugh but teachers knew where to draw the line in terms of behavior so that all necessary learning could occur. Tutors were friendly and you knew that if you needed help, they were there for you. Facilities were good and there were a variety of extra-curricular activities suited to a whole range of people. Only problems is that their are a couple of main feeder schools so if you do not go to one it may take more time to settle in (like most others) and there are a couple of students who do not behave but this is dealt with quickly, and can be expected at any state school. I attended from year 7-11 and would thoroughly recommend.

Went to this secondary school from 2015-2020, I loved my teachers. Mr lines, and mr Dickinson best English teachers actually made me really interested in English and now I’m writing a book. Mrs Welsh was lovely and my singing teacher, she helped me a lot and now I’m going to study music at university. I’ve forgotten most of the teachers names but they were all lovely for the most part. OH MR LANGDON AND MR WEAVER BEST HISTORY TEACHERS. mrs firth is the worst, the rules in forced were absolutely ridiculous like most schools she dressed up as a Jew for world book day with the striped pjs, the star, the number and she was covered in what looked like dirt. No matter how many people complained there was no repercussions. Also when someone I knew was SA’ed the school did nothing about it which I am still angry about.

Wyvern is an ok school, however it has many flaws, gum is stuck under every desk, vandalism is also common, and students can be rude.

It's an ok school the education is good but some times the staff can be slow at addressing issues. Also the students that go there are not all the nicest. I went there and got good grades and made friends easily despite joining in year 11 however some of the children are not nice at all. My sister goes there currently and is having issues that she has told the school but they seem to brush it off

Really good school! I love the teachers because they are so kind, really helpful and good at teaching with different circumstances such as the current remote working system. The school has been very good with the transition to online working and Mr Rule and many other teachers have been incredibly supportive and understanding of how difficult it might be for some students. :)

Awful school, chewing gum all under the desks, lots of roadmen, annoying year 7s, very strict, gives a lot of detentions for stupid reasons.

Not a very good school. Adding more and more rules makes the experience more like a prison. The re and history department are very good. and pe are also quite a good department.

Teachers are nice and friendly, but they dont know how to handle bad behaviour and bullying, i moved school and am happier. Lots of roadman and gangs that act like druggies probably are tbh. Y11s snogging and getting saucy all around school in front of teachers. You get judged for getting food for god sake. Lots of swearing. If you want to become a comepletly different person then you were in yr6 go ahead, go there but honestly there are better schools
