Belmont Railway Viaduct
Majestic viaduct. Long muddy walk by the river but the view of the viaduct is worth it. No loop trail. Private land around.

Worth a look if you're interested in our local history.If you're planning on using to cross the river, you can't as it's fenced off at the top.

Belmont Railway Viaduct
Spectacular bridge over the river Wear. The railway line is long disused and it’s difficult to access from above. It’s best viewed from the river but the path is a little difficult in places and often muddy. But it’s worth the effort and the fact that this feat of engineering is so well hidden makes the effort to find it all the more worthwhile.

Beautiful but be careful how to get there. Path along the east side of river from Durham is pretty but only possible if the river is low

Absolutely gorgeous view. Lovely colours of autumn to be seen everywhere. Very good to be outdoors but wouldn't recommend it for anyone who has bad knees or anything similar as the walks are quite steep.

A beautiful disused Railway Viaduct in Durham. Fairly unknown to most, just as elusive to find and get to. Not a one for young children. Good photography opportunities.
