Please don’t bother. I had initially come across Graham online and thought I’d try giving him ago, worked with a lot of joiners and handyman’s and the people I work with have been busy as it’s almost Christmas. When I had contacted Graham he came about and seemed very professional and sounded like he knew what he was doing, I showed him the jobs that needed doing, he said that’s fine and told me he charges £30 an hour and the jobs I showed him would take 3 hours. So in total £90. Was happy with that and booked him in. I took time off from work and he didn’t come as he was busy with a different customer, I was understanding and said it’s ok we will rearrange. I said to him I was flying out in the 12th for 2 weeks and initially wanted these jobs doing before as it my little girls 1st birthday coming up and her party is held at home. He said he will do the jobs for me this weekend. So yesterday he cane at 12 and he was putting my chandeliers up and said the length of these are too long so my sister advised him to cut the links short (he’s a handyman so he should know!) the chndelier went up in the bedroom and passage way and a canvas. 2 main jobs the TV and Heavy Mirror didn’t go up, he went to do the TV it’s a plastered board wall which he said might be a problem but using the correct materials it’s possible. Drilled the walls and said bad news it can’t go here so I said that’s fine we will place the mirror there. And the TV can go above the fire place in the living room so he said he will come back tommorow (as in today) and do that and he will bring the special screws. So he took £150 yesterday (double of what I was quoted for 3 jobs he carried out yesterday). And when I asked yesterday how much will he charge me today for the 2 jobs left he said £60. So he has been in today and he said he couldn’t find the screws to keep the TV secure to the wall.. and he wouldn’t feel comfortable putting it up for health and safety reasons. The mirror seemed to be a problem as well.. the 2 main jobs!! so I rang another joiner in his presence and asked them to come out and told Graham how I felt and I asked him to leave. I’m absolutely disappointed and feel as if he’s took the absolute piss and wouldn’t recommend him. It’s not the first time I’m having these jobs done, I rent houses out and iv had my own home and iv had these fittings done before, I’m not a fool! Just wished I hadn’t gone for you.
