You expect snags buying a new home, but you also expect them to be dealt with in a timely and reasonable manner.Almost two years on and we’re waiting to have a shower made level. Every boiler on the street was incorrectly fitted leading to constant running and needing to be fixed.Customer care take an age to reply to anything (probably inundated with issues) and their first response is always to try the fob off - making everything take at least twice as long.You don’t get much choice in who builds the homes when you choose where you want to live. But if you did, I wouldn’t choose Wainhomes again.

Avoid at all costs! loads of issues with them on a variety of things. Head of customer care doesn't seem to understand the concept of her job

Ok, if you don’t like to read long reviews it ends like this… Wainhomes have been brilliant start to finish and they have had to deal with some very fussy customers in us. The conclusion being, we would recommend anyone buying from this builder without hesitation.Ok so the review in depth… the start wasn’t the best, but buying a new home in the middle of a pandemic when supplies and staffing issues were tough, it was never going to be easy. The house build dragged on a little longer than we anticipated and initially this disappointed us due to the fact we had already let our previous home go and was temporarily living back with our parents. That being said, we understood the constraints and issues that Wainhomes faced.Anyone thinking of buying a new home for the first time, take note, if you’re expecting to walk into your new build home like you would collecting a brand new car, you need to lower your expectations slightly. Whilst it is brand new, the paint is thrown on and there will be issues, but that’s what you get with a new build when taking into consideration the amount of different contractors required to put it together, however, it’s how they work with you to right them that counts.Bare in mind, buying a used home would have masses of problems no doubt and any issues you faced, you would be on your own. The houses on Kingsley Manor are very high spec and the room sizes we found compared to other builders were noticeably bigger. The outside is very pleasing on the eye, in fact, it’s everything we dreamed of and glad to say, our forever home. The only negative we have faced that can’t be put right is the size of our driveway for 2 large cars. This may not be the case for all houses on the site, so I only speak for ours, but that’s just the plot we picked, it is what it is.A few special mentions to Andrew our initial sales consultant who is a massive credit to the company flying Wainhomes flags high. We were pretty gutted he was relocated elsewhere from Kingsley Manor before concluding our sale, but anyone who gets him whilst purchasing at another local Wainhomes site, you will be in great efficient hands I assure you.Andrew the sales director, for keeping an eye on things from a distance, too ensuring things went smoothly and also Sam, the Contracts Manager for making things happen at pace and being a very sound guy! The plumber Chris from Kildare, yes we’ve had a couple of leaks (but you are going to) and he could do with a new spirit level, ha ha, but he’s a cracking lad and his team are efficient.Lastly (and certainly not least) Kenny and Colin have been brilliant and put up with me start to finish. They have a difficult job keeping over 100 households happy and do a great job, they also, are a credit to Wainhomes.Finishing up we are extremely happy with our new home and the guys have done everything in their power to ensure our happiness and we cannot thank them enough.Happy house buying people!
