Update 18/06/2022: The Court case brought against us by Restaurant Projects Ltd concluded yesterday and we won.Despicable customer treatment. Never delivered but demand money anyway. We purchased a catering oven from Restaurant Projects Ltd trading as Catering Centre online on the 16/07/2021 order number(59883) for £724.44. Invoice attached below[1].Our order was never delivered and no dispatch communication was sent either by email, text, phone or mail. We attempted to communicate with Catering Centre to determine the status of our order by phone and email(email dated 28th of July and phone call images attached below [2] dated 29th of July) but we did not receive a reply to our email or phone calls. After failing to determine the status of our order we succesfully disputed the transaction with our bank on the 29th of July as we naturally concluded that we had fallen victims of fraud. We purchased the same oven from another vendor online(invoice attached below [3]). After our transaction dispute with our bank, Catering Centre then communicated with us by phone(on the same number attached to the order) for the first time on the 30th of July 2021 demanding that we rescind the transaction dispute with our bank.To make matters worse:Catering Centre confirmed the cancellation of the order on the 30th of July 2021(email attached[4]) on their end. They also issued a restocking-fee invoice on the 2nd of August 2021[exhibit 5], but then on the 6th of August 2021 they raised a transaction dispute[exhibit [6]] with the bank claiming that they are in the process of delivering the oven to us and that the monies that the bank returned to us should be returned back to them. Effectively claiming at the same time both the money for the oven and a restocking fee for it also! They were unsuccessful as the bank confirmed our refund and did not agree with Catering Centre.Catering Centre was told in writing on the 30th of July that we no longer wish for this item to be delivered as we have already ordered from another vendor and on the 31st of July, a transport company contacted us by phone(the same British mobile used in the order form and allegedly impossible to reach) for the first time ever asking what time we are open for them to deliver the item, I gave them our opening times(which I had already done in my original order form) thinking that this is the oven expected from the other vendor. Thankfully they never delivered the item because that would have caused us even more headache returning it and we never heard back from them. Now Catering Centre has taken us to court demanding the restocking fee.Their failure to provide dispatch information to their customers is theirs alone, It does not mean that we should pay for a delivery service that was never concluded because they failed to reply to our emails and phone calls and also failed to provide dispatch information.Clearly it was a huge error on our part purchasing goods from this company. We never got any goods and we are being chased for money regardless.Update due to reply:Catering Centre is the trading name of Restaurant Projects Ltd.Restaurant Projects Ltd is the company taking us to court for their failure to deliver the oven we ordered. And all our communications have been with Restaurant Projects Ltd.As such it is not possible to agree to your request, Steve.Kind regards
