Took my car in for an MOT knowing it would fail due to an engine light and DPF issue.The team were amazing, they made a call to refer the car to a local DPF specialist who fixed the issue the next day and probably ended up saving me ££££.Genuinely appreciated the way they took the time to explain everything to me without any hint of mansplaining. I’ll definitely use them again.

My first and last visit to this place, never again. I left my Fiat Panda there to check the clutch, which broke - the clutch pedal was falling to the floor. The next day they informed me that the whole clutch needed to be replaced - cost £690 As I was convinced it was just some hydraulics problem, I gave the car to a local mechanic where unfortunately I had to wait about 2 weeks for the repair but after replacing the clatch slave cylinder and filling the hydraulic system, the clutch works perfectly - cost £132 .

2 front tyres on my Yaris £83. Very quick and efficient.

Very good service. The staff are kind, helpful & friendly. Even when I missed my appointment slot for an MOT, they kindly moved me into another spot to accommodate me. Very appreciated. Will be using again. They were recommended to me by a family member who uses them for everything.

Had a vibration in the front, they put it down to a crack in the flex tube section of the exhaust but due to it being a pain to take off they wanted almost £800 to replace the whole exhaust rather than that section (found the part on eBay and it’s a small section that’s easy to replace), im not even sure how that would make the car vibrate! So I didn’t opt for it and drove it awayThey Also wanted to do an oil change due to low oil but I’ve been checking for days now and it isn’t low at all. I can’t help but feel alittle taken advantage of, or that they found the correct issueEDIT!!- a few months later we found out it was actually the gearbox starting to goBe wary! Always get a second or third opinion elsewhere

0 stars if they would allow it. Stinking attitude as I arrived for MOT today. Rude male greeted me with not a hello, but a very abrupt “move your car”. What a lovely way to greet your potential paying custom. If only I could read minds I would know where to park my car and how Halfords run their MOT service. But unfortunately, I cannot. Might know how to use a spanner, but definitely don’t have a clue about customer service. They were told to shove both MOT and attitude up one’s a***. On the plus side, I am thankful for the heads up before they went ahead with the MOT, so they can have the 1 star.

Absolutely awful experience. Booked on the online booking system well over a month in advance. Someone then called to change my appointment as there was no MOT tester in that day which was fine. Rebooked for a different day. Then I was called and asked when was a good time to rebook my appointment. I told them I had already rebooked but they had no knowledge of this. So rearranged again. Also explained to them that I am in hospital and my mum would be bringing my car in for me. Only for them to email me the day before my appointment to say they had tried to phone me (they definitely hadn’t) but my appointment had been cancelled due to equipment failure. So I am now in hospital trying to find another appointment somewhere else before my MOT runs out. Not happy.

My car was in for an insurance inspection. (Gap).The staff were very helpful and professional. Dealing with my questions and carrying out the whole process in a speedy and efficient manner.

I had an MOT done earlier this year which really didn't go to plan, took seven weeks but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Who am I to judge another tradesman. This time though I'd go as far as to say they were dishonest. I had a kerb damaged front tire replacement but I'd asked them if I could keep the tire if it could be repaired. On payment they said they hadn't seen any damage so I let it be; just pleased to have the job done. It was only later I thought, if they hadn't seen any damage then why change the tire. They could at least phoned to check they had the right wheel and where I thought it was damaged. Hopefully one of the lads will be fitting it on his own Merc and end up on the Hard Shoulder; in one piece of course. . I'm not here moaning about some dodgy old banger that I don't bother maintaining. It's a well looked after E Class. None of the tires were more than six months old.

Took car into have a noise investigated, they fitted me in that day. Mechanic called me to explain the problem and his recommendations. Did not try to up sell or do unnecessary work and no charge for diagnosis. I would recommend this garage, excellent service, thanks.
