Welbeck Manor and Golf

Can’t say enough good things about Welbeck and the staff. We had our wedding there at the end of may and it was the best day we could have had! The whole venue is incredible and the staff are the same. Everything from the start of the day to the very end was perfect and we were looked after beyond what we could have expected,made to feel like absolutely royalty. Hannah and I would recommend Welbeck to anyone wishing to have a wedding there or even an overnight stay. The rooms,food and hospitality is second to none in Plymouth in my opinion. We’ve already planned coming back for food together and can’t wait. Thank you to everyone who made us feel so special on the day. See you all soon.Hannah and Andrew Keslake

Very helpful staff, excellent breakfasts. Limited choices but had choices we both enjoyed. Would have liked room serviced between days. Bedding and bathroom very clean. Cobwebs in various places in room but otherwise felt clean enough. We chose location because our destination was Dartmoor Zoo and then continued onto Plymouth so it was perfectly located for our travel path.

Went here to attend my grandsons wedding. The day time food and the evening buffet was first class. Could not fault it at all. Room was nice but no info in room reference breakfast timing. Breakfast was of a high standard as well. The organiser of the wedding didn't take charge at all. No announcements for the speeches and other minor things. All little but put together add up. Did we enjoy it, YES very much so. One more thing, the drinks are a little expensive.

Hello, I have stayed at Welbeck Manor on many business trips down to the Plymouth Area. With their corporate rates they can beat the Premier Inn meal deal prices and the food is amazing.I also was not feeling great on the day I was meant to leave and they let me stay a bit longer no questions asked.PS the course is great and the members are really friendly.RegardsRich

All the staff were so helpful service was first class, rooms were very clean food was very good breakfast was excellent , and all good value for money .The golf course was a bit wet but the weather we had it was still enjoyable and the greens held up well, will be revisiting

Experienced the admin staff cancelling my booking .I contacted to complain .I received an e mail from the manager reinstating the appointment also was told tge staff had been retrained etc .So overall was interesting experience niw we see what the accomodation and hospitality is like ??? In April .Wat h this review ??.

Beautiful surroundings and the service was ok during my interactions but the check in process was made difficult by being asked to pay again despite the money already being taken from my account.Room was nice and the bed was very comfortable but there was no mirror which made getting ready for the wedding I was attending quite difficult

The staff at the manor are absolutely brilliant - they couldn't do enough for us. And the food is exceptional - hats off to the chef.But the rooms need a lot of tlc. No complimentary gown or slippers, tap wasn't secure on basin, flush button kept falling off leaving hole in wall. Every time we showered the whole room flooded. Definitely wouldn't recommend staying here but as a guest for a meal or a wedding, you couldn't be more looked after

Food was absolutely fabulous. Would defo recommend venturing down the little lanes. More problematic for us in our motorhome but defo worth the £10 per night they charge to park on their land.The location to park is not actually that nice, lots of dog/cat poo and loads of weeds, plus the view was not as advertised, as they've got very tall trees nearby. However the golf course itself is fine. View from the terrace of the hotel and bar is great.If I were a member, I'd be disappointed with the tees, but mostly they need to teach the golfers etiquette. Trolleys on tees as well as buggies, talking when near tees, even when people are teeing off. Very poor show.

Can’t fault this place! We had a wonderful first trip away with our 3month old, the rooms are beautifully decorated and the bed was one of the comfiest I’ve slept in. Breakfast was delicious and the staff made you feel really at home, they even offered to hold our baby girl to free up my arms while I was eating which I was very happy to accept! There was a wonderfully warm feeling that made you feel at home, so many lovely little touches and beautiful views, we didn’t want to leave, can’t wait to come back soon!
