Sam’s Fish Bar

I loved this place when I started using it frequently in 2013 but visited a few months back on a Saturday & something has changed. Boss man is always polite & cheerful but the chips & donner meat on this one occasion weren't up to his usual high standards

I was very happy with the service and with the meal that I had they were very clean and a beautiful fish I had tonight they're both nice people that served me and we're very well mannered

Good prices, huge portions, chips are great and service is really lovely!

Sam is such a lovely gentleman and he's always got a smile and always chats to you. His food is excellent and the prices are brilliant. Very clean place. All my friends love coming to Sams fish bar..its the best in stoke on trent

Probably my second go to chip shop after Venus. Boss man always actually chucks in a good offer & occasional free sausage. Never actually had a bad meal but remember waiting 25 minutes for kebab meat but well worth it

I would honestly put a minus star if possible, I went there for the first time for just a large chips and mushy peas, while it was getting prepared I was offered a chip shop sausage for free to go with chips so I said yes as long as it is wrapped up separately due to sharing the chips with my vegetarian partner, I was then told that can't be done so I refused the sausage.As I was paying the lady who was bagging the food up she said I can actually have a sausage for free wrapped up separately so I said yes again and so I ended up with 2 sausages free with my order.Now the end of the story is that after just 1 trip to this chip shop I ended up with food poisoning most likely from 2 bad sausages that were probably sat out all day causing me to have time off of work.

Not quite Venus but will definitely do when you can't be bothered go far! Pleasant staff and food is great.

Not been before but will definitely be going back, really nice and friendly owner and my food was delicious, would highly recommend
