We had a confirmed booking with Great Fosters for several months. It was booked for a special occasion and we had made plans to have dinner at the hotel for a celebration. Two days before arrival hotel cancelled due to overbooking without any apology or effort to ensure we had alternative accommodation. Over booking while you have a confirmed booking is not acceptable and is very poor service. My party was very disappointed with this outcome and the total lack of any consideration from the hotel. We planned that stay for a long time and the disrespect and disregard to the plans we have made was v disappointing. We shall not be using this group of hotels again.

Starting with the very warm & helpful front staff. Specially Kazi helped us throughout from the beginning to end . Helped my handicapped mother to get inside the Hotel, to find the ladies also get in the car at the end . Bless him. Excellent garden views. Other staffs were all very pleasant too. We used to live on this road and stayed at the hotel for a week for the Hampton Court Flower Show and to visit old haunts and friends before. This time was for the afternoon tea . It was little slow service but enjoyed.

I came for afternoon tea and the grounds are beautiful however it was very expensive and absolutely not worth the price. The sandwiches were dry and the cakes were far too sweet. We were seated in our own room which was lovely but it meant that the service tended to be a bit slower as if we had been forgotten. They were using the corner of our room to store extra chairs which is just a minor gripe but it did make it feel a little downgraded. A pleasant enough experience had it not been for the price for which I expected better.

We've just returned from a truly perfect weekend at Great Fosters. Our stay was nothing short of extraordinary, leaving us with such special memories. We stayed in the stunning Panel II Suite and felt like King & Queen! The grounds are so beautiful, we explored for hours, it felt very private and we found the perfect spot for a picnic before heading to the pool for an afternoon of relaxation and a dip in the heated pool. For dinner, we treated ourselves tp the 7-course tasting menu at The Tudor Pass, this was an experience we won't forget. Alex deserves his Michelin star and I have no doubt he will continue to rise.Thank you to all the team for a magical weekend getaway!

(+)• Service was very good! The guys at the bar are super nice and friendly.• The hotel is beautiful; nice terraces, bars, and gardens.• EV chargers available(-)• The breakfast was massively underwhelming and it’s not worth £20 whatsoever.• The spa was fully booked on Saturday and shutdown on Sunday which doesn’t make any sense.• Pillows are super uncomfortable and too high, I couldn’t sleep well.

Visited Great Fosters for an afternoon tea. Welcomed at the door and shown to the very homely afternoon room. We were shown to the last table available, which denotes its popularity. Made our choice of hot drink and then delighted in a glass of champagne as our beautifully arrayed tea tower was put before us. Sandwiches, scones, patisseries all perfect. The icing on the cake was a gentle stroll around the amazing gardens. Knott gardens, Saxon moats, sunken tea Garden, rustic arched wooden Bridge over reflective water. You need to see it in person to appreciate what dedication and love has been spent on this place.

I had standard room. It was clean but quite small. There was enough space to walk around a bed and fit in small desk and side table. Bathroom also very small but clean. Iron and ironing board was in the room. Very handy. Rooms are in various buildings on the site and had to walk through courtyard to get to mine. Nice place to stay if you like traditional British Hotels but I would recommend choosing superior rooms for space. To enter the hotel you need to use tiny doors. Cute, but not very practical if you carry a suitcase.

You pay 5* prices and get 4* service, at a push. We were checked in late and had to wait about, they 'hoped,' they could get us a pool towel or even an extra towel.Taps and coffee machine were broken. However, a lovely pool- but very busy. Beautiful setting. They charge enough, you should get what you pay for!

My husband and Irecently had the pleasure of staying one night at Great Fosters hotel. Nestled near the heart of Windsor, this historical gem of a hotel left an indelible mark on us with its impeccable service and charming ambiance. From the moment we stepped through the small “door-in-a-door” we were immediately captivated by the enchanting and historical interior that exuded classical English charm. It was clear that great effort was taken to restore/preserve its history yet it still achieved the expectations for modern comforts. We were quite hungry the day we arrived and requested tea and we were escorted to a charming and secluded tearoom to our delight. The tea service was excellent and was a wonderful start to our stay. Afterwards, we took a stroll in the gorgeous gardens of the hotel and then retired to our room to rest before dinner. Our room was a blend of traditional and contemporary décor with a mix of antique furniture and modern amenities that provided us with a comfortable and relaxing space. It also had a scenic view of the amazing garden and grounds, which we truly enjoyed. To top off our stay, we ate at The Tudor Pass that is located in the hotel, which was absolutely outstanding. Great Fosters was truly a tranquil retreat where we were able to unwind and appreciate the beauty of an English estate and we wish we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend Great Fosters for anyone seeking an unforgettable, beautiful and historical hotel with excellent service and amenities.

Stunning hotel, with hundreds of years of history. Beautiful grounds. Delicious Sunday lunch, with two good slabs of beef, roast parsnip, roast potatoes, carrots, greens, cauliflower cheese and a big Yorkshire pudding.
