This was my first experience of Afghan food, although since I was familiar with North Indian and Turkish food, it wasn't at all strange. The curries are spicy without being hot, and the kebabs and felafel are nice and subtle. And the mango lassi is amazing! All in all, Taste of Watan provides delicious food at a very reasonable price.

Very nice food, lovely service gr8 prices.We enjoyed the big afghan naan with lamb curry plenty of gravy and portion of chapli kebabs all fresh and really tasty. Jzk.

Tried a few dishes from Taste of Watan, sooo good! I'm really happy we have a nice restaurant local. Very reasonably priced. Generous portion size. I spent about £40 and was definitely worth it! Hot fresh food, full of flavour and a spicy kick. The mint Raita with the rice was amazing! Do give them a try and support new local businesses ❤️

Today my friend and I enjoyed a delicious lunch feast at Taste of Watan.There was a really lovely waitress who helped us choose some delicious dishes (don't miss the Burani Afghani, a fabulous aubergine and yogurt starter) and the huge Nann bread which is cooked in the tandoor and comes as part of the Chapli Kebab.5 hours later and we're still pleasantly full from our lunchtime feast.

Tried this restaurant on recommendation and was not disappointed at all. Clean environment, great fresh food, quick and friendly service and very decent rates, I went with a group of 10 and everyone was happy with the food. Will go again.

A combination of great food, service, ambiance, and reasonable prices, along with very friendly staff, makes for a memorable dining experience. The kebab plater was very tasty, fresh and huge. It was finger licking good.Thank you everyone at the Taste of Watan.

WOW WOW WOWAn amazing restaurant with great service and atmosphere.Delicious mega platter including all well cooked dishes and amazing taste.Very few restaurants get the lamb chops perfect and they are certainly one of the them.Tasty chicken wings, chicken tikka and kobeda and Kabuli Palau with extremely tender meat.A must go restaurant for an amazing food

Their reviews are fake!!!Second time ordering from here, the first time they had small food portions but this time the food was disgusting. Tasteless, bland, too much oil and not fresh. Last time I order from here. Stay away and don’t waste your money. Disgusting and waste of money!!By the way judge yourself looking at the pics if that is 1kg of chicken and lamb. There were 5 pieces of chicken. What a joke and look at the amount of oil.
