Not sure if this cafe has changed hands recently as the quality of food and hot chocolate was sub par compared to last time.Hot chocolate used to come with cream and marshmallows. Wasn't offered on ordering as an extra which we would happily have had to please the children.Tuna sandwich was actually tuna sweetcorn which if you have fussy children is an issue. Our order was messed up but in fairness the staff were apologetic and rectified it. Won't be returning sorry.

Ordered two gluten free salted caramel cake and two flat white coffees. The cake was really dry and did not tast of caramel and the flat whites were lattes. We were unable to speak to an assistant as they were too busy.

We've eaten here twice now. The staff are friendly. The food and drinks can sometimes take a while to come out. The ham and cheese toastie is pretty good and the most recent time I tried the biscoff latte which was tasty!

Beautifully quaint tea room, desserts were delicious, no problems when asking for a soya milk hot chocolate for my son - and most importantly - decent sized teapots!

Had a double espresso. Crema was weak, but it tasted ok. It the best coffee i have ever had, but certainly not a bad coffee.

Shocking service, ordered 3 cakes in which shouldn’t take long however seemed to ignore our order and take orders behind still.Waited over 20 minutes for 3 cakes which are overpriced for what they were £4.05 each, carrot one was mainly icing hardly any cake, also red velvet and the choc Carmel both very dry. I wouldn’t bother going here, too busy and shocking customer service!

Quaint and charmingly decorated tea room.Coffee and tea were good, though my little brother wasn’t the biggest fan of his milkshake: whipped cream and syrup were already dripping from the glass and he found the taste sickly sweet.Lovely staff

A great visit to Capabilitea recently- its a quirky cafe with lots of seating. The cakes were absolutely delicious and the drinks were piping hot! The service was good, my only negative was that when the drinks were handed over the waitress put her fingers around the rim of the mug where we'd drink from rather than lower down on the mug but a very minor issue and didn't affect the visit. Would still recommend and would return.

Had oatcakes with bacon and a pot of tea for two. We had to wait about 10min for the food (were told it would be 15min) but they were busy and all working hard.Worth the wait as the oatcakes were very good and the tea came in a large pot.A very enjoyable lunch.
