Emily is an outstanding garden designer. Originally she tranformed my mother's garden and she recently re-designed my small courtyard garden which I look at every day as it's just behind my kitchen. It was really quite a dingy space, but it is now transformed and now it's spring every day there are beautiful new flowers and colours blooming. I am really loving it. Emily has such deep knowledge of all the plants and flowers it is amazing! I can't recommend Emily and her work more.

I was struggling to find a creative way of transforming the patio and pebbled area that is my garden into something that is not only greener but that also has interest and greater privacy. Emily saw lots of possibilities and had lots of ideas. Where I saw problems she was quick to come up with solutions. She gave me time to think through options and to make decisions. Emily took on reshaping and planning our small garden in Cambridge. Her knowledge was invaluable about what to do to afford maximum use of available sun, types of plants to include fruit and flowers to give colour as well as making the garden easy maintenance. She listens well to what the client wants and advises accordingly. On contacting Emily she immediately showed an interest & listened carefully to our concerns regarding our garden. She understood our desire to reduce the time maintaining it & the need to bring some order to it.Emily is very professional & a knowledgeable plants person. She came back quickly to us with a design which addressed our needs. We asked Emily to redesign our small walled garden in Lewes which was overgrown and did not meet our needs. We were not really sure what we wanted but she came up with a design that absolutely works for us and has transformed the space. Friends and family cannot believe the difference and, in particular, how Emily has created a garden that is in harmony with the exterior of our old property. She has been totally professional at every stage and always extremely thoughtful and helpful, particularly considering the fact that the hard landscaping took longer than was expected and she had to adjust her timings and therefore her schedule to fit in with our builders. We cannot recommend her highly enough.

Emily took great care in drawing up plans to design a suitable space for off-road parking combined with garden space to enhance the front of our house and our neighbours. It wasn't easy to do because of the incline in the road but Emily come up with really good solutions for both properties which had different requirements. In creating the hard-standing for the cars, her choice of materials was made in terms of design and colour but also in creating good soak-away and we have no problems with standing water now. Around the cars and pathways we have different planting spaces and variations in height with a raised planting beds. In this last year, while working out in the front garden, I have received many complements from passers-by saying how nice it is to see so much planting in what would otherwise be a boring car parking space. Neighbours have also said they wished they had such attractive and functional front gardens. Thank you Emily.

Emily has a wonderfully creative, detailed, thoughtful and comprehensive approach to designing a garden. She took into account a very disparate selection of requests from us all (from somewhere to play football to a habitat for amphibians) and worked them together in a seemingly effortless way. We will have a garden so much better than anything we could have dreamt up ourselves, we are all absolutely delighted with the plans. Thank you Emily!

We have now completed our pond restoration and Emily has been instrumental in bringing vibrancy to the pond. Our perspective is also shared by the wildlife that has made homes in this new space. If you built it well, they will come.

Emily designed all the outside areas for our new build. She worked really well with the architect and builders and seemed to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of materials and how to use them with the clay soil in our area (apparently this swells and contracts a lot over the seasons so could be an issue for retaining walls in our garden). She also gave us a comprehensive planting plan which means we have something happening all year round. With the new areas in the garden it seems bigger, with a patio area for dining, a sun terrace for the evening by a fountain, greenhouse and vegetable beds. So looking forward to see the way all the plants grow into the space over time. A big thank you from all of us!!
