Awesome campsite. We've just completed a recce visit. Staff really helpful which is the main thing. Lots to do. Looking forward to main camp!

kitchen was filthy but by the time I left it, it was sparkling clean. Obviously previous users didn't care enough to clean it thoroughly. The site is good tho

Ruth and Cal worked hard to make our weekend Cub Camp an enjoyable experience. They made space so we could use our caravan and provided benches for the Cubs. I would recommend this lovely site to any youth groups

A great venue for business team building during the week from September to Easter. A great place for scout groups and sections through the year.

Lovley peaceful site and the wardens are outstanding. There is a lot of ongoing development on the site but this does not interrupt any of the great facilities on offer.Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We've just returned from a week long summer camp at Cranham, with a large group of scouts and explorers ( around 50 young people and adults). This is a .great site in a beautiful location, tucked down a valley and sheltered from the worst of the wind (but unfortunately not the rain!). It is a slopey old site, so it is worth doing a reccee if you camp with a lot of canvas to ensure there is ground enough for you.The site was more than able to accomodate our numbers, but we hit a quiet week and were the only group there the whole week so had the run of the place. There is enough to do on site to fill a few days for scouts (archery, rifles, sumo suits and grass sleds were very popular with our scouts!) and the site is a 25 min drive from cotswold water park where we did several days of watersports activities. There is good hiking to and from the site making it an ideal expedition challenge location, and the centres bunkhouse and kitchens offer any number of age and gender splits for large groups up to and over our size for POR compliant accomodation. The camping toilet block is well equipped and we had no issues with supplies. The site might want to look at the hot water thermostats, showers were on the hot side for the kids and no way to adjust at the heads. The wilder area of their site acros the village is full of adventurous potential and I'd love to go back and do a wild camp in better weather to enjoy it more!A special shout out to Cal, the warden, who worked tirelessly throguhout our stay to make sure we had everything we need and really enhanced the kids enjoyment of their summer camp. The site was very flexible in helping us with contingnecy plans when the weather really turned against us at the end of our week and helped us avoid putting all our canvas down wet.The site is a great asset for the scouts, and the effort and care put into developing it is clear to see. Well done team and keep it up!49th Greenwich / 1st Dawlish

A very sloped site. Toilets were not replenished with paper or paper towels over a weekend.Good shower and a fire pit with log and bench seating around it. Excellent walking from here.
