Was a lovely, friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious and well made. We sat out the rear in the covered beer garden, which was warm where the heaters were. Later we sat in the pub to continue our lovely evening. The pub appears to be mullet-inclusive, which was nice.

One of the tastiest Sunday roasts I’ve had in a pub - it felt like a proper home cooked meal (and there was no scrimping on the gravy which is always nice). The manager and waiters were lovely too. All in all a great little place with beaut food. Thank you!!

They fitted us in at really short notice. The staff couldn't have been better. Really smiley, professional and attentive. The food was tasty, inventive and plentiful. All in all, a really great find! Charming, in spades!

That was probably the best meal I had in the area, service is great and friendly, food was absolutely gorgeous from A to Z, can’t fault anything.Had 2 starters : chorizo and arancini 10/102 sandwiches : chicken and steak 10/10, salad dressing gorgeous, fries great and sandwiches perfect.Can’t fault it.Good wine by the glassIt’s perfect with a perfect outside area with a good view, I’ll be back soon.

Had the best Sunday Roast here, absolutely delicious and huge portions, really couldn’t fault it! Lovely staff and service, highly recommend if in the area. Our dog was very welcome too. We loved it!

Lovely friendly pub, fantastic foodGood beer & good offers on their wines,, Shiraz was really good,Lovely big beer garden to the rear, bit cold this evening, but bet its great on summers day, great views of Railway that actually go's though tunnel beneath the pub,,,Thanks to owners who were very helpful & chatty,, Good luck for your future !!! We need a bar like yours in Chester !!!!

Nice little spot with staff who are very helpful. We went with a big party and think we pushed them to their limits with the amount of servings they could do at once. But they did well and the food came out in a decent amount of time. It seemed to be all freshly prepared and tasted really good. The veggies were a little different with nice sweet carrots and parsnips. The cut of pork was different to what you often get and one I much preferred, possibly belly with some great flavour. One pork was a bit dry but others were good.We sat out the back which was a nice area that had the train station over the back so the kids got very excited every time a train pulled up which was nice. The dogs enjoyed themselves as well. All in all a very nice experience.

Me and my daughter went to have some food here. I scoped it out by pictures on Google before we went. I do that because how else I'll know what to order.I had a good wage coming in this month so I thought to go and treat our selves.Staff was very nice and we took the seats outside right over the trainline. Wish there hadn't been a strike. Would have been a cool view at the trains going underneath.Food was great. I was jealous of my daughters burger. It was amazing. Chips vere out of this world.We had to leave earlier than I wanted because of wasps.. But there is nothing that staff could have done about it.Oh and the portions are very well sized. I eat a lot and I wasn't disappointed at all at mine or hers.Definitely would come back again.

What an amazing find! Food is amazing.Staff and service is fantastic. We have just moved to Knaresborough and have found our go to restaurant. We had the best table just by the open fire. Amazing you have got to try this place when in Knaresbrough.
