Lovely staff, very welcoming and accommodating, nice reasonably priced food and drinks, well looked after lakes and fish. A big variety of fish for you taste, including carp, tench, chubb, sturgeon and so on, definitely worth the money and a visit, think I've found my regular go to, can't praise it enough.

Great place, fishing is amazing and everyone was friendly. The grounds are nice and clean. Having the cafe/bar on site is a plus and not expensive.

I just had the best bank holiday weekend of my life here, haven't been so happy and relaxed in a long time. The people are kind and friendly, the food was good in the clubhouse and the lodge we stayed in was perfect, couldn't recommend this place highly enough

We had a lovely weekend at the Chequertree Fishery. The lodges are basic but cozy and very close to the lake so comfortable for fishing. Great variety of fish and some big ones to be caught. Food at the café is good, the settings are picturesque and calm. Perfect for a family weekend away.

I fished here recently for the first time. It's a n interesting venue and quite busy when I went. Pegs are marked with numbers but where I fished (lake 2) it was grass that you fished from rather than a wooden/concrete peg area. There were positives and negatives. Positives - plenty of fish in the place clearly, as I caught quite a few; Roach, Crucian, Crucian Hybrids, Goldfish (!), Tench, Bream, Common Carp. Ranging from a few ounces to around 10lb. Fish were in reasonably good condition. Bites were quite regular on float and on the bottom rig. Negatives - I couldn't believe when they decided to cut the grass around the lake while people were fishing. This included about 6-8 passes about 2-3 metres away from me with a VERY noisy petrol mower. That killed any bites for an hour. There is clearly a real mix of people here and fish handling was terrible in a few I saw (no mats, swinging fish in rather than a landing net, shouting across the lake, bite alarms so loud they make your ears bleed!) So, if you want to catch a few but don't mind the negatives then give it a go. Be warned though, there is a real mix and it clearly gets very busy. When I need an easy day I think I'll go but try lake 1 this time to see if it's any different?

Just left after six days of wonderful fishing the staff are so kind and ready to make your fishing the best it can be. Food on site is freshly cooked to order in a lovely bar and restaurant overlooking the lakes. The lake areas kept spotless and the fish are jumping out of the water to say hello we will be back very soonAll the best to everyoneLenny and lisa Penfold we were in the T25 camper with the bunting lol

First impression is very positive whilst trying my hand at Trout fishing on Lake 3. Benches, toilets and hot drink facilities. Trout lodge looks pretty good too but didn't venture in as the door wouldn't open and didn't want to break something. I thought I'd included a photo of the Trout ( and Trout lake ) as I couldn't see any others on Google reviews that mostly consists of Carp fishing. Think my catch is a Steelhead rainbow trout. Would be helpful to have more Trout specific rules and prices for fishing during winter months where dusk is at 4pm. Looking forward to going back when less windy.
