Really nice spot for dinner. Charge extra for a Yorkshire pudding with your Sunday roast which doesn't sit well with me. Food quality is good, staff friendly. Only a handful of vege options for the Mrs but she really liked the lentil pie.

Cold room . Small portions (Sunday roast ) and quite pricey. £4.95 for a small side of cauliflower£200 for 5 people and a drink each which most were soft drinks. Food we got was good but won't rush back

Really enjoyed our tea here , was recommended by the landrover guys up the hill.Perfect cooked fillet, with tasty sides ,the scallops were incredibly good.Fully recommend

Our family lunch for seven was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Excellent food, lovely atmosphere and great service. No wonder this place is regularly in the Good Pub Guide!

The building is beautiful. There's a real sense of character and tradition, with ceiling beams, stone flags on many of the floors, and an open fire.The menus are enticing, with a good variety of dishes. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options are clearly marked.The staff we spoke to were excellent. But, the place just seemed understaffed, resulting in a little too much waiting.The food was great in parts, but for the price and expectation it fell short. The chips were a little overcooked, as were the onion rings. The pickled slaw was quite overwhelming with vinegar.Maybe we just got an off night. However, we're keen to try again in the future.
