Cardiff Slate and Stone - Porcelain paving

Great service and friendly staff with a great variety of stone and supplies.

Firstly, at our appointment we were given the incorrect price. We wanted the 1200 x 600 Galaxy Beige Slabs. We were given a sample which had the prices written for each size.We were happy with the price and the next day we called to place an order. We were told that we were given the wrong price and they were not going to honour the mistake they made. They didn’t seem to care and all they cared about is money. Reluctantly we placed an order for 85 square metres because we had no choice as our builders were coming soon.Then we get a call a few days ago saying that they are going to have to cancel our order because the “factory” let them down. Mind you at our appointment Nikki told us that they order all their pavings at winter and proceeded to point over to the slabs and showed us how many were in stock. The warehouse was full of slabs.My husband mentioned this to the manager and the manager kept repeating the factory let us down. We didn’t believe them. So my sister called the same day ( she called them while my husband was on the way to the warehouse to get a refund). She called them to order pavings for her garden, she called and queried about the same size tiles and she was told they’re in stock and once an order is placed, it will be delivered in 7 working days.We were honestly so disappointed and angry as this would delay our garden work. They did give us our money back but honestly the service is HORRENDOUS. They are the worst company we have ever dealt with by far. Never ever again. Many of my neighbours/family are getting their gardens done and we made sure that they stay away from this horrendous awful company. How they think its okay to cancel our order last minute its disgusting and the way it was handled. I still don’t believe them but to be honest, this is a blessing in disguise and im glad we are not using this company anymore!! Disgusting behaviour.

Fantastic experience with this company. We called in on the off-chance as we were passing. The lady who came to speak to us was really helpful and knowledgeable. We were so impressed we soon decided to place an order for the porcelain tiles we had seen on display.We have now had the tiles fitted and we are absolutely delighted with the outcome. Everyone who has seen them are really impressed. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company

Amazing service from Louise and Steve, from the help with samples to the invite down to their place to have a look at the slabs in person and see how the colours were in the daylight.Louise was really helpful with calculating what was needed for the square meters I have and even helped out with advice on what grout to use etc.When it came to placing the order, I delayed ordering(my mistake) and needed the slabs for my contractor pretty quickly so I didn't have a delay in the garden work completing. The very next day I went down to collect and the order was ready and securely strapped and wrapped on two pallets ready to be fork-lifted straight onto my vans for collection.I would highly recommend this company as a local supplier where you can go and see your porcelain slab in person before purchasing.

Very helpful advice from the staff - you can tell it’s family run. Most places you go to staff are hardly bothered to even helpYou. Great selection of products at competitive prices and prompt local delivery within a few days.

Picked up some Brazilian slate for a path to match patio good choice of products

We visited a number of building suppliers and similar companies around Cardiff and Barry. None of them had a clue what I was talking about when discussing priming the underneath and the correct sealant and other processes to take place. Having never laid a patio and researched the hell out of it, it was amazing to speak to the ladies that were there. So helpful, backed up my knowledge and really knew their stuff. Stones arrived on time, only very minor damage to 1 or two that became cuts anyway so no product lost. Amazing service would recommend over anyone else as the rest of the companies made me feel like I was talking rubbish! Thanks guys!Really happy with the final look considering we have never done anything like this :)
