Little Salkeld Flour Mill
Was nicely presented, great view of steam.Dog friendly.Oven was a bit hard to use at first.You could hear the people in the next holiday accommodation quite clearly.Hot tub was a nice touch.Also the dishwasher came in handy.Nice area and local pub was nice.

I've been a couple of times now as it's on the cycle route C2C and just a short way off the Lakes and Dales route. I like the history of the place and the food and tea is fab

Lovely little find. Little shop and tea rooms joint onto a mill. You can wander the mill freely for a small fee £2 adult and £1 for a child. Choice of sweet and savoury goodies with hot and cold drinks. Toilets available. Indoor and outdoor seating, dogs welcome.

What a beautiful and lovely little mill this is, it's a gem of the whole area.We stayed in the tea room let. The deck out back is so peaceful and lovely with the flowing river. Now it's not 100% modern but it had a cottage feel that was refreshing.We actually bumped into the owner to and what friendly and inviting people they are.If they are doing milling demonstrations, I seriously suggest a visit!

Little Salkeld Flour Mill
A real working mill. Small scale and friendly with good food and of course excellent flour (including their own milled flour which works in a breadmaker and tastes wonderful). Mill has to working wheels but they don't work all the time. Tour short and personal (£2 adults and £1 kids). Might want to phone ahead as church whether wheel is likely to be in action.
