I stayed here last minute as a family member could no longer make it. The Old Dairy Cottage was beautifully decorated and there were lots of lovely little touches.Outside is a gorgeous garden and furniture so you can sit and relax. There is a small shop and a few different pubs within a mile and close to Cambridge.Would love to stay again.

Beautifully converted barn, tastefully decorated with luxury bath and shower and well equipped kitchen. Views over countryside. We'll supplied with 6 eggs, a fresh crusty loaf, strawberry jam, milk and butter. The bathroom supplies were high quality cowshed & aesop's" (the pictures are of one of the bathrooms taken from either end and one of the bedrooms)"

Loved every minute of our stay. Fiona was amazing and Adam was very helpful. The Cart Shed has been crafted and furnished thoughtfully and had everything we could need. Easy to get into Cambridge town but a peaceful stay with some amazing views. We will definitely be back!

A delightful escape in the Cambridgeshire countryside. We stayed in the Buttery, which is a 3 room place. It's wonderful: the rooms are all generously proportioned, the views are sublime, and the local cows found us as interesting as we did them! There is a short walk through the fields to the nearby village with restaurant/bars for a nice evening nearby on foot.We were able to use the pool, due to the glorious weather, and had a lovely time!Highly recommended for a cheeky weekend, or a longer break if that's what you need!

WiFi went down. Otherwise, it's a great place. There is no service, so I can't comment.

The Cart Shed is a nicely designed and laid out property with a good hot tub; but our stay was unfortunately overshadowed by a number of issues. The shower in one of the ensuite bathrooms was cold (my Mum had two cold showers before a plumber came out and fixed it); the kitchen cupboards hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived and there was a dirty baby spoon in one of them and the eggs we had been left were a week out of date. Thankfully, the host resolved these issues but they still had a negative impact on our experience. The biggest issue was with the underfloor heating – the host has locked the thermostat which prevents guests from controlling the temperature. The property is south facing and has floor to ceiling glass windows and doors and so gets very hot during the day (and it was only 13 degrees outside when we were there in April!). This meant in the evening it was 26 degrees with no way of cooling it down. I asked the host to help and she said she couldn’t do anything. The only option was to open the living room window, but the window can’t be left on a latch so it was wide open with cold air blasting in, even though the rest of the room was like a sauna. My Mum is 76 and has arthritis in her neck and it gets painful when the cold gets into it so she was deeply uncomfortable – especially as there is only one window and it is right next to the sofa. Even after 2 hours with the window open, the temperature only dropped to 23.8 which is still too hot. The issue was made worse by the fact that the time was wrong on the thermostat and so the heating didn’t go off until 9pm in the evening (it should have gone off at 8pm).My biggest disappointment of all is that when I raised these issues with the host and asked for a partial refund of £50 per night (we had paid £250 per night), she refused. I explained about my Mum’s arthritis and how uncomfortable she’d been with the window wide open and cold air coming in, as well as explaining that even though the other issues had been resolved, it still negatively impacts on your holiday when you have to spend time raising 4 different issues and trying to get them fixed. Sadly, the host showed no empathy and refused us any money back which I strongly feel is not fair or reasonable. My advice to other travellers – think very carefully before booking the Cart Shed. You will have no control over the indoor temperature and the host will not be willing to compensate you if you do encounter any issues.

The cottage was excellent, very cozy with the underfloor heating, log burner and out door Jacuzzi under the stars. All the amenities you would need with a large comfy bed. I would highly recommend this for someone looking for a countryside break. Thank you very much Fiona

Lovely and calm place to stay. Well equipped to cook some own meals. Beautifully decorated indoors.Best to have an own car or take an Uber/Bolt during the day.To go out at night is harder since the train station is 20 min walk away and it's hard to catch an Uber/Bolt.
