I have been a customer for 30+years I live on a farm paid all my invoices on time. Had to take my dog to have it destroyed he was 15 years old they would not attend a home visit due to my account my dog struggled to get in the back of the van lack of empathy all about money.

Since adopting our two beloved cats just over a year ago, we have been so grateful for the excellent service and support from Seadown, Hythe. Weather by phone or in person, everyone we have delt with has always been patient, professional and proactive. Sincere thanks to the reception/admin team, nurses, vets, surgeons and all who are so committed to the well being of our precious animals.

Very friendly and helpful staff, knowledgeable vets. Let down by extortionate prices for medication. Brought 2 items that were recommended, found I could easily of saved £56 by buying the same products on line from recognised suppliers. Very annoying as didn't expect a 40% mark up!

I have always been impressed with Seadown Vets but they really have gone above and beyond over the last few days for my dog Branston. They have given advice over the phone, the night vet has called to check in and they have just seen him within 15 minutes of me calling. I didn't get the vets name but she is just such a lovely, caring woman and hugely reassuring- thank you. The receptionists are also so friendly and helpful, thank you Trisha and Linda for your kindness. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I can’t say thank you enough to this incredible practise. I am here on holiday and my dog sliced her ear on a barbed where fence. The kindness show to her and me as we spurted blood all over the surgery was incredible. My dog is quite nervous and they took time to make her feel as comfortable as they could. I wish this vet was nearer to home. Outstanding service that clearly puts the animals first. Thank you so much xx

Really appreciate service over the weekend from Seadown Hythe after our cat ate a long piece of string. Fortunately all resolved naturally but felt very well looked after as they regularly checked in on us. Thank you.

Used the emergency vets and not from the area. Really lovely staff and really helpful. Made me feel really at ease in what was a stressful situation.

We were referred to the ophthalmology department for our kitten Sparrow, as she had an issue with her eye. Kate was so gentle with Sparrow and amazingly sorted out the issue (removal of foreign object that the eye had begun to grow over) within 5 minutes and did so with such a finesse that me and my partner were stunned. Kate is a credit to the business and turned a stressful morning into a celebration. Thanks so much Kate!Taxidermy Girls xoxo

Written in 2022 about the HYTHE branch - NOT TOTTON.I've left the review here too as the same inept, dangerous vet also practices at Totton where we had the misfortune of seeing her several times. Aside from this one vet, everyone else at Totton and Hythe has been wonderful. I felt guilty tarring everyone with the same brush. One single vet is responsible for the suffering and dragged out euthanasia of the two most beloved and adored little people in my life - I wish her nothing but misery, quite frankly.Hythe USED to be the best practice with knowledgable vets and lovely staff. While the support staff are still great, and the vets sufficient for routine visits (vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment etc) tboth practices have gone downhill, employing one vet in particular who misdiagnosed two of my cats, one of which I was told was 'absolutely fine' and infront of my husband said 'I have absolutely no concerns whatsoever about this cat' as she hit the lid of his box, so I had to fight for a specialist referral where he was diagnosed with advanced lymphoma the next day. This particular vet also accused me of defrauding the insurers when I requested full bloods, as she had 'absolutely no concerns whatsoever' with him. My insurers were absolutely fine with my submitted insurance claims, given that he had to be put to sleep after months of unnecesary suffering due to this vet's incompentence. I really wish I could give her name to save anyone else falling foul of her shocking ineptitude.A month later I was convinced my other cat was seriously unwell, and once again she was misdiagnosed at the Hythe practice by a different vet, and I was told she just needed a dental which she had the next week. After I monitored her breathing a few days later I noticed that her respiration rate was through the roof, we rushed her in as I suspected heart failure, which a lovely new vet sadly confirmed with me and I had to let her go as well.I had to let my two beloved cats go to Rainbow Bridge just 5 weeks apart, both horribly misdiagnosed. I'm still absolutely devastated, and not surprised that clients are leaving Seadown's practices in droves. Unless it's an emergency, avoid their practices where possible.
