Royal Mail Delivery Office

I have just had 3 birthday cards brought to my front door by my neighbour who lives two doors down - I'm at no.10, he's no.14. They were all posted in plenty of time to reach me on my birthday but I didn't receive them on the day as they were posted through the wrong letterbox. How hard can it be to read an envelope and make sure that the mail goes to the correct address? I can just about accept 1 card being wrongly posted due to human error, but 3 is totally unacceptable!

I have never known anything like the current situation. 4 days in a row my mum went to collect my parcels and every single time it was shut. They say it’s open till 12pm on a Saturday but never once have I been and it’s been open. It’s absolutely impossible for people who work a 9-5 job to ever collect their post. Royal Mail try once to deliver my parcels (right in the middle of the day when I’m at work like most of the population), don’t try a neighbour, don’t attempt re delivery even once, don’t leave in a safe place and every single time just send my parcels straight to this sorting office which is impossible to collect parcels from. The whole thing is a mess it’s such a shame as I used to think Royal Mail were the best delivery service. Absolutely impossible for anyone to get delivery’s now. Strikes throughout the whole of December. Unbelievable mess.

Missed your delivery because you were busy working an actual job?Don't worry - the Letchworth sorting office will be open a whole 2 hours a day... also whilst you're working.Hopeless.

Really need to get back to normal opening hours as the current opening times are damaging business drop off. Especially where customers have paid and want next day delivery. Most staff are friendly and there is one lady who works there that scans every item and is really good at her job.

So much quicker and more convenient than queuing up at the post office when it comes to dropping parcels off for delivery. Only open for a couple of hours a day though.

I had always found this to be a really useful service but since Royal Mail changed the hours it is impossible to get to - only open in the week when I am at work and only for a short half-day on Saturday. With prior commitments it is difficult to access at this time meaning I think twice about ordering when the parcel delivery will be Royal Mail. Now, I can usually only get there at opening times during the school holidays.

Only open from 8am till 10am which seems rather frugal. Staff ok but not the cheeriest of souls.

Missed a parcel delivery a day ago, went down to the sorting office, Tuesday 25th October, within the opening hours, only for there doors to be locked, there ammened opening hours from August also stating there opening hours, there website also states they are open, apparently a lady who parked next to me said the post office is on strike today, what a waste of time, so don't actually know when they will be open for business you could do better royal mail

First time I've come to this post office as I've just moved to the area - I should have taken notice of the majority the previous reviews. Arrived at 3pm on a Saturday as it's supposedly open until 5:30pm, only to arrive to find it closed with a notice in the window saying 'due to unforseen circumstances, we are closed from 2pm today.'Based on others similar experience it seems like whomever works here enjoys working flexi-hours...
