Excellent smaller venue in recognition of John Peel’s contribution to new acts and the arts generally, in what was his home town for 3 decades.Very fair prices and friendly atmosphere. Supports and books a very wide range of music, comedy, talks, etc. Largely run by volunteers. Is in a Georgian chapel in the town centre but the station is only 3-4 minutes walk and very well served on the London-Colchester-Ipswich-Norwich and Cambridge lines which have late trains, so I recommend arriving by public transport if possible. Public car park behind ASDA 5 mins walk the other way, not expensive.

A great, intimate venue. Friendly and well-run. A good bar- pleased to see some good AF beer as I was driving.Everything was perfect for the gig I was there to see.

Been here about four times. Always brilliant atmosphere. Not all that big a venue but this ,to me,adds very well to the social attitude of other live music fans. And the enviroment makes it perfect for great sound reproduction. Good stage so visibility of the performing acts is excellent too.

A nice little venue, decent stage. Small bar, with a good selection of drinks and very reasonably priced. The gig was sold out when we visited, not too packed in the venue, but I did get pretty warm in there. All in all very nice.
