I just took a contribution to the Woodgreen charity shop in Peterborough.I have never encountered such ungraciousness in my life. The girl behind the counter just shrugged at me. In the end I asked if she actually wanted a contribution and she just said leave it on the stairs if you want". Wow. I won't be taking anything there again."

Visited the new store and it looks amazing. The charity has many donations but I'm sure they would appreciate more. The staff are volunteers who are helpful and supportive of each other. The manager (Amy) updated me on the vision for the store and I wish them all the best.

A lot has changed in recent months and not for the better either. Familier faces have left and the atmosphere is horrible. Prices have rocketed and the sense of helping the animals has diminished greatly. At the moment the shop is closed.I went in recently and asked Are you closing down" to a temporary manager from the St Ives shop.She was very abrupt and rude.This is not the image a charity shop should have. And I noticed that their were less staff there.On the whole it was an awful shopping experience. I love animals and will shop in their other shops
