The Cuillins

Lovely wee apartment situated 5 minutes walk from the harbour in Tarbert. Welcomed in by Gary and shown around. Very clean and fresh. Huge windows overlooking the hills. We saw 3 deer just outside. Very quiet at night so slept well. Good facilities. Would definitely go back.

Wonderful. Spotlessly clean and just as described. Ideal for an overnight before catching the Islay ferry. Walking distance into tarbert and dog friendly. The huge picture window is a real asset. We'll equipped for self catering including coffee machine. Superking comfy bed or two singles. We'll be back. Thank you for making us so welcome.

Great Location; The road is a single track steady gradient up to the accommodation, which is less than a 10 minute walk to the Harbour where the shops and restaurants are.Clean and welcoming accommodation; Living, Dining Kitchen very spacious no problems for the two of us plus our Schnauzer.There isn’t a chest of drawers, so I brought some folding storage for a our smalls to place on the shelves and we forgot to bring additional hangers. Well equipped kitchen; we do like when we can find leftover essentials like foil and cling film.Bathroom clean, spacious shower and plenty of towels on arrival.Overall; the spacious annexe to the main property is decorated to a high standard, clean and comfortable.Tea cakes on arrival was a nice little surprise plus a pint of milk.We stayed in September 2020, we are very grateful that Carolyn and Gary let us book up, as we love the area and Tarbert.We hope we can call on them again.Recommend: Skipness Seafood Cabin (lunch) and The Anchorage Bistro (dinner) we rarely eat twice at any place in a week but these were our favourites.

Excellent stay, comfortable and very clean. Communication with Carolyn was easy and she was very responsive. It was easy to access the apartment using the key box. It was the most comfortable bed in our 2 week trip throughout Scotland !The only thing I would have liked was a washer/dryer instead of a dishwasher - luckily I have relatives nearby and was able to do our laundry there. Overall a great place to stay and would definitely book again !

Stayed here for 1 night. Absolutely stunning. Great views. Was spotlessly clean and all beds were very comfortable. 2 mins walk to Tarbert centre. Gary and Carolyn are friendly and welcoming. Great parking on the drive way and the room/kitchen is all separate and includes a patio as well. Definetley will use again in the future. Thanks again.Kris and liona

We had a wonderful stay at The Cuillins, what a beautiful apartment! Gorgeous views in a lovely location, close to all the local amenities. The highlight was definitely the comfy bed, I have a bad back and had the best few nights sleep I’ve had in a long time! Highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

Stayed at The Cuillin's for a long weekend as a solo traveller. I cannot fault the property, it is spotlessly clean, well equipped, with a nice outlook. It is well placed in the village of Tarbert, and is only a 10 minute walk to the Harbour and surrounding shops and restaurants. I particularly loved the airiness of the apartment and it's quiet location, with views over to the Church. I would not hesitate to recommend to fellow visitors to Kintyre, Carolyn and Gary are fabulous hosts

Stayed for few nights. Amazing place with lots to do. Great views too. Gary and Carolyn make you feel so welcome can't wait to go back. Apartment is spotless with everything you need for self catering. Very relaxing.

We had a lovely stay at the Cuillins self catering apartment. The location is excellent and the apartment is very well equipped, clean and welcoming. We have already booked to return in September. Can’t wait!
