F.Hinds the Jewellers

Was after a new watch as an early Xmas present for myself. Looking at 2 watches in particular. Asked about them to the staff and was advised on the best one. Very helpful and answered my questions. They are a credit to the company. Would recommend this jewellers.

I brought a bracelet from this store on Saturday and wore it for less than an hour on Saturday evening when the bracelet caught a ladies jumper causing a hole. I took the bracelet off and replaced it in the box.I looked at it the following day to see the bracelet was damaged in several places which would cause it to catch. This bracelet was not cheap [one hundred and fifty nine pounds] I took it back to the shop where I was refused a refund or an exchange!!! I was told they would send it back to head office for them to check it and they would refund it if they confirm it is damaged. Clearly the manager is in breach of the consumer rights act and doesn’t understand that what she is doing is illegal. I am in titled to a full refund but she acted like a spoilt kid stormed into her office and threatened me with the police if I didn’t leave her store. The manageress has no customer relation skills or understanding of the law and acting like a child and stamping her feet and losing control of her temper is unexceptable. This company advertise the fact that they have been trading since 1856 [163 years] and they have a fantastic customer relations!! Reading the feed back on this store that is quite blatantly a lie as 75% of the feed back is extremely negative to the fact that they will no longer purchase any goods from this store!!I personally will not purchase any thing else from this company and if I dont get a full refund from the company I will certainly take it to trading standards and the ombudsman. If I could give this company -stars I would.

I purchased a beautiful watch and the staff were so helpful in getting extra links for it and fitting them. Can't praise them enough, will definitely recommend them

I have shopped at particular Jewellers for 35 years.They are always helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.The customer service is exceptional and I recommend this shop highly .

I would give 0 stars if possible. I visited the branch to get a link taken out of a brand new watch. The gentleman at the store managed to scratch my watch in the process but would not take any responsibility for it. When I emailed head office they also refused to take any responsibility. Very poor quality poor and poor customer service.

Poor customer serviceF Hinds was once a family run business, but now no longer care about the customerI brought a Bracelet for my partner for ChristmasAnd she wore it only twice and only a few hours at a time and the clasp broke, when returning it to the oxford branch of F Hinds they said they would have to return it to head office to check it out and be fixed .According to the we had damaged the clasp our self and that all they could do was offer a 25% discount on another bracelet and that was there final offer.Over the years we have spent a lot of money at F Hinds oxford branch, and that did not seem to bother them, we will not waste our money at any F Hinds branches againAnd by the looks of all the other reviews they seem not care about the customer any more

I recently purchased a glass flamingo ornament as a gift for my mother from this branch. The shop assistant took it out of the box to show me the ornament, before packaging it up again and putting it in a bag. When I got home I realised the ornament had a deep scratch on its neck which I can only assume the shop assistant covered up when she showed me. I don't have any proof of this so I'm now stuck with a defective ornament that I can't do anything with.
