Visited the Apley Kitchen. Food nice but organisation is very poor. Went in through one door to be told we had to use other door. Went there to be met by the same lady who was at the first door. Seems she couldn't say, 'take a seat' at the first door.Then we go on a list to take our order, regardless of who is ready. Waitress then went to wrong table.Had a three year old. Asked if his food could out first. Told yes but his was the last meal to arrive.No signs of the system or what's expected ... largely because from observation the staff don't really know either. Lack of working process that's based around the customer.Overall ok food that's possibly worth the effort but could really do with some good leadership and organisation.

Well worth a visit if you are in the area. It's not cheap but you will guess that before you walk in. To be fair they don't get much foot fall located where they are but I think they do need to look at the pricing of the children's meals. The cakes are reasonable compared to other similar places, but I am still not sure why the cost of an afternoon tea can come to £25 per person.Nothing wrong with the food, it's a fairly limited menu but all that we had was excellent. The service was very accommodating but a little behind the pace, not that it was an issue for us.Other things to do on the site which may be of interest assuming they will be open. Plenty of car parking available and they often have quite large themed events in the adjacent fields. One to Google.I note the farm shop has its own page.

Lovely Ploughman's lunch followed by delicious Lemon Drizzle cake. Excellent service and pleasant staff. Good menu and they also do cream tea. Good farm shop where the Lemon Drizzle cake can be purchased

Arrived at 11:00am and asked if we could sit outside. Breakfast menus were provided and we waited and waited. I went inside at 11:20 and asked to order a breakfast sandwich and coffees. I was told I was too late for breakfast. As I was talking to the staff member another came past with full breakfasts. I was told I could have cake or lunch options. I pointed out that due to them I was put at detriment and I was there well in time if they had come outside to take the order. I asked to see management and was told there wasn’t any there and that if I emailed she would be sacked and then the staff member cried and walked off not even asking whether we wanted coffees. I hadn’t raised my voice and simply asked for reasonable customer service. I emailed as I wanted to give Apley a chance to offer an apology rather than post a negative review. Unfortunately no response so my review stands as a record of my recent visit

Lovely place to go and visit. I went there with family and we all enjoyed the food. Filter coffee wasn't the best but that's the only thing I wouldn't recommend.There is also a shop which sells local food and great sauces

Had a nice motorcycle ride over there with my daughter, the food and atmosphere was spot on. Will definitely visit again.

We had afternoon tea.It was presented beautifully.Bottomless tea and coffee .The staff are lovely and friendly .We were offered a box to take home what we could not eat!Definitely go again.Booking is advised.
