The Cow Shed Weddings

We eloped to Freathy Farmhouse for our civil partnership in March 2020, having first visited it one year before for our anniversary.Both visits were lovely.The rooms are so pretty and really cosy too. They are beautifully decorated and each has its own character. Breakfasts were a real highlight - the menu to chose from all sounds amazing and everything we tried was so tasty (especially the breakfast muffins!)The farmhouse is in some lovely surroundings and the addition of chickens, pigs and a rabbit really drew us to Freathy.The venue itself - the Cow Shed - was another big draw for us. It is an interesting venue, really rustic, and gave us the chance to have an outdoor type feel to our ceremony while being protected from the elements.The decoration of the Cow Shed and the milking parlour where we had afternoon tea after the ceremony was just stunning. The decorations were all included and were tailored to our likes (moss!) and wedding colours.Everyone at Freathy were so friendly and helpful right the way through the process and on the day itself. They were really easy to communicate with and went out of their way to help us out and get everything just right. We can't recommend it highly enough.

The Cow Shed Weddings gave us an amazing venue for our boho, country wedding. Sarah, Jeremy and the whole team are amazing, friendly and extremely approachable. The guys bent over backwards to make sure our day was exactly how we wanted it. Amazing venue, amazing place and amazing people! We wanted a pressure free intimate wedding that was warm, welcoming and relaxed whilst still being gorgeous, classy and special.Sarah, Jeremy and the team did exactly that for us. They are truly an amazing family with the most beautiful hearts that radiate through them and shines in their stunning venue, that ticked all the boxes for us.You couldn't ask for a more accommodating, helpful and welcoming collection of professional yet personable people to host your wedding. We eloped to The Cow Shed at Freathy Farmhouse last month for an intimate wedding with just the two of us and our Bulldog, Dottie. No doubt as with most couples who elope, we had no idea what to expect having never been to The Cow Shed in person. Our trust was purely built on faith in Sarah and Jeremy who own the farmhouse. We were, of course, rewarded massively for this and our wedding was as perfect as it could've ever been.We were blown away by all of the intricacies and personal touches throughout the whole of our stay - there seemed to be a surprise around every corner. Our wedding suite so comfortable and was beautifully decorated. It really represented who we are as a couple. Particularly all of the sweet treats left on the side table and biscuits for Dottie!Breakfast both days was incredible and the accommodation was so beautiful. It was true luxury and small touches like the Neals Yard toiletries just made it that bit extra special.Both the ceremony room and the milking parlour where we had our evening meal were decorated beautifully. It was truly stunning. The attention to detail is something we've never experienced before. We could not believe what was included for what we paid. But things like not having to think about dressing the ceremony room or the milking parlour was really what sold The Cow Shed to us. Everything was taken care of for us which we were really grateful for because we really wanted to have a stress free wedding with minimal planning. It honestly felt like Sarah had crept inside of our heads and created something that even we couldn't have dreamt of.Communication and help was exceptional throughout from booking to our arrival. Nothing was too much trouble.Neither of us had ever been the type of person to 'dream' about their 'special day' and we had no idea at the beginning of this journey what we wanted. But we could not have chosen a more perfect place to be married and I am so grateful to have found The Cow Shed.For anyone considering an elopement wedding, whether its just the two of you or a few more, we can not reccomend The Cow Shed more highly.
