First time visiting since the refit. The pub is cosy, clean and the service is great. Will try the food next time :) hopefully the steak and ale pie is just as good as it used to be.

Easy to order, not too busy. The Duo of Roast was light on the meats - one slice of each, barely enough for a sandwich, but tasty enough - and heavy of the veg.Service was okay, staff were very pleasant. Nachos were good, although the chilli was lukewarm. Burgers were impressive looking but lacked taste.At least there was no washing up!

Really calm atmosphere a large selection of choices on the menu for food & drinks. I found the prices really good value for money and very reasonable prices. Service charge is optional and the order from table App is convenient for quick service and easy to operate. The Team and guests here are really welcoming.

Went for Sunday lunch, the food was dire ! 4 people booked and it was dreadful! Cabbage not cooked, had to chew it! Peas were like bullets, the mixed root veg was mush, meat was horrendous! New potatoes were not cooked! awful. Service was, well words fail me! We had ordered our lunch & pudding, we just got our lunch, waitress turned up with a serving of custard!!! With dinner!!! She didn't understand that we wanted that with the dessert, eventually took it away, to be delivered again with our dessert cold ! Unbelievable. Definately not be going there anytime soon !

An ok pub. The food is not bad and reasonably priced. Staff are nice but service could be better: it all seemed a bit disorganised. We booked a table for 2:00 pm and they had already run out of some of the food we wanted to order.We had breaded mushrooms, calamari and chipolte chicken as starters, the latter actually very tasty.Our mains of posh fish (two fillets of sea bass!), hunters chicken and sirloin steak were reasonably good.The terrace area is quite large and very pleasantly done and it must be very appealing with the good weather.Overall an ok pub/rest with food as expected and reasonably priced.

It was cold inside so didn’t feel as comfortable and cosy as it could/should have been. The roast wasn’t a nice as I expected.

We went for Christmas work lunch in a big Group of 16.Food was ok. Meals were cold. Got few orders wrong but service was exceptional.Karen was serving us and had exceptional service with smile at all times. She did her nest to change meal and sort out.Well done Karen.
