Hippersons Boatyard

We hired a little electric day boat from these lovely people. We cannot recommend them highly enough. From the moment we arrived at the boatyard until the time we left was a wonderful experience. The owners truly know their stuff. The owners & staff were warm friendly and welcoming. They took time to chat & explain thing about the boat, the river etc. Very informative. The boat we had was excellent spotlessly clean & extremely well maintained. Very reasonably prices and professional friendly business people. Also they are very switched on about the environment and our wonderful waterways there in Suffolk & Norfolk. Thanks guys keep up the good work and we will see you again very soon xx

We hired a day boat. They were very helpful showing us where to go, where is good for lunch and, of course, how to operate the boat and moor etc. The boat was superb - electric, quiet and full working order. The staff greeted us and helped moor on our return. All staff were really lovely and helpful at every point.

Very easy to navigate website when booking.Good value for money IMHO.Welcoming, cheerful and knowledgeable staff on hand to advise us before letting us loose on the river.The whole family enjoyed our time, including the dog!We navigated up to Oulton Broad, tieing up at the yacht stop by the park where we enjoyed access to facilities, and the kids used the park.Would recommend to anyone wishing to explore the waterways. We used Heron as we are a party of 6 (+ dog).

All the staff were absolutely fantastic and helpful and really make your holiday. Steve , Josh, Miranda helped us with boats and directions and were so lovely. Simon and Mary are fab.Thanks for a great weekend, we will return again, this was the second visit.

We tried another operator and every answer to our question was no. After going down to Hippersons, I came out of reception and greeted the rest of my family group with ‘Yes to everything’. Hippersons have a helpful, positive attitude because they ‘just want to get people out on the water’. Great service and far beyond what we could have expected.

We wanted to hire a couple of boats for the day to explore the River Waveney so found Hipperson’s online. The service was great - clean boats, had all the gear, staff good with family, quick and easy process to get going. The communication pre and post booking was really useful. We took the boats west to check out the Locks Inn which is a lovely pub on the river. Highly recommend.

We are returning customers for the fourth time. We left a day earlier due to issues. We stayed in secret garden we usually stay in swallows.The arrival we was shown our accommodation.We was missing a dog treat from the welcome pack. Also we prepaid for the hot tub experience at the expense of £15.We started the hot tub and realised the hot tub wasn’t filled up with water, also the bottom Of the tub was filthy and had a really bad odour coming from the valve. We called for a member of staff who said we could have melted it due to fire being started without water which I clearly know but with the extra £15 expense I would have hoped the hot tub was filled ready to heat. The fence going around the hot tub is very bodged. Cable tied together. The pad it’s on is just slabs there not layer or pointedWe arrived at the accommodation at 14.30. Hot tub wasn’t ready for us to go in until gone 20.00Also there are moles everywhere around the hot tub. Leaving soil everywhere.On trying to cook breakfast we realised the hobs don’t work, which caused a massive inconvenience. It was another added expense as we had to go and eat out.The hot tub isn’t worth it.! We are so disappointed with this experience.Our trip was meant to be Monday to Thursday. We left at 7am Wednesday morning due to being off.

A fantastic place to stay for a holiday. We stayed 5 nights with our two dogs and absolutely loved it. We stayed in Coot Club houseboat and it was perfect, wonderfully decorated and kitted out; had everything we needed. The area is beautiful in every direction, the staff and owners were welcoming and responsive and we took the dayboat out one day which was great! Thanks for the stay, we would definitely come again.

We had a wonderful weekend break staying in Secret Garden. The staff were all very friendly, relaxed and helpful all the time we were there. Secret Garden was a lovely warm and comfortable pod set in it’s own private area and what sold it for us was having the use of a little rowing boat for the entire stay.

What a fantastic place to stay . Mary ,Simon and the rest of the staff were friendly and very helpful. We stayed at the Coot Club . A lovely houseboat with its own pontoon. A very peaceful and tranquil place . Cannot highly recommend it enough. Have booked for next year
