We had to give a substantial discount to the buyer of our house because probate and then conveyancing had not been progressed at all, at the time they should have been finished. Scott Robinson seemed to know what he's doing and was affable, but appeared to put our case down and leave it there for months at a time. There was a long, long trail of emails and phone calls ignored. Nothing worked. His PA never put me through, said he'd call back, but he didn't. There was usually no reply to emails. Our affairs were finally concluded some 15 months after our mother's death. I can only recommend avoiding this practice.

excellent service from the C&R team, have bought and sold properties a few times with Scott and the team and service has been fantastic. Also engaged C&R on Power Of Attorney (POA) and other family law related issues and the team have been fantastic to deal with.

From the experience I have had with this solicitors I have to say I would definitely use them again and recommend their services. Crowdy and Rose far outweigh the large firm I used in Swindon for many years. Plus they charge fair prices unlike the team in Swindon.

Coming out of a nightmare year of attempting to sell two houses, I wanted to give some due respect to Anthony and the team at C&R. They helped us through the bad times when, through no fault of theirs, things went wrong. Anthony remained patient and professional throughout and got us to the finishing line. Always polite and utterly professional, it was great to have him and the team on our side.

The worst solicitors I've had the displeasure of dealing with. Our house purchase just went through with 45mins to spare after 7 months and that was because our estate agents and solicitor went over and above to drag it over the line. It's not that C&R are necessarily bad at what they do, in our case they just didn't do much at all unless absolutely necessary, snails pace communication and responses. For conveyancing it's hard to believe it gets any worse.

Very poor communication. Had to chase constantly and was told that emails sent to Scott are generally not read as he is too busy! Wouldnt use again.

I've used Anthony at C&R for many years, he is my go to Solicitor for property purchases and other legal matters.I've been happy to recommended him many times over the years and always got very positive feedback, although I don't want him getting too busy so he can't deal with my work.

I was extremely disappointed with the way the solicitor, Scott Robinson, dealt with my mother's estate and house sale. On the rare occasions I managed to speak to him on the phone he was very pleasant, but actually did very little. Probate progressed at snail's pace, emails were rarely answered and the house sale was a nightmare, with questions from the buyer's solicitor remaining ignored for weeks on end. As a result we almost lost our buyer and had to give a discount. The whole process took well over a year and was made much more stressful than it needed to be by the solicitor's extraordinary inertia. Avoid.

Had excellent service from Scott and Amanda. I was kept informed of the progress on the sale and my questions were answered in a timely manner. The phone was picked up within a couple of rings and it was great to have a person on the end of the phone and not a machine. Five star service.

Very poor service, no communication from Scott, a simple deed of assignment was the task and two weeks later they haven’t even contacted the other solicitors. If you’ve ever wondered why the legal system is slow, look no further than this firm. Needles to say used another firm and the legal matter was sorted within days.
