Amazing stay at a stunning location, with attentive and polite staff, luxurious spa and amenities, and a very large and well maintained pool.Breakfast is plentiful and good quality, i would have liked a bit more variety, such as salad or veggie options. Harry's bar had great cocktails and dinner (the glazed cod, kofte and pineapple brioche were our highlights), with excellent staff all around.Good sized rooms which could use a bit more decoration. Like many hotels, the sound insulation isn't great, and we could hear the neighbours' conversation and TV.The garden and surrounding area are gorgeous, it's not rare to see rabbits and squirrels running around.The manor itself is stunning, and the property is located in a remote, very quiet countryside which makes it a perfect weekend getaway.

Overall, a really nice getaway for me and my partners anniversary. The hotel is modern, clean and homely. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was basic, nothing special and had quite a small bathroom. The spa was nice but again, small. It was really busy so getting a seat was difficult. The only other downfall was that our sleep was very much interrupted due to the noise from other rooms. You can hear everything as the walls are so thin and a group next door were being very loud for hours past midnight. The highlight of our stay was the dinner at Harry’s bar and kitchen. Excellent customer service and fantastic food. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.Oh and just another little disappointing aspect was no robes or flip flops provided! Apparently this was only for executive suites which was a real shame considering we did use the spa.

Very nice place, stayed a few times and rooms vary in size and quality but overall good. Service is outstanding, food is lovely and the grounds itself is very up together and tidy. The location is very remote though so if nothing takes your fancy from the restaurant you’re a bit stuck for food and drinks

I booked this hotel mostly for the Spa experience for my sister's birthday. I was very disappointed with the Spa experience. We arrived on a Friday night, the receptionist was very helpful in giving indications (we thought why so many, how hard it is to find a room, only to get lost a few minutes later because of the many corridors the hotel has). Our room was very spacious, clean, they also provided a baby cot since we traveled with our 11 months old baby. The bed has huge and comfortable, we enjoyed a good night sleep after a delicious dinner at the Harry's restaurant. The next morning we had 4 massage sessions booked and we wanted to chill at the pool before getting the massages. Only to find out from the Spa receptionist that my son is not allowed within the pool premises, we missed the morning 8-10 session when the kids were allowed. I have called the hotel twice prior making the booking to make sure that my son is allowed with us at the pool (not swimming as he is allergic to the chlorine, but to sit on a chair) and the answer was that children are allowed within the premises. But no hours were specified. I was quite frustrated when the Spa receptionist told me that, because I booked this hotel specifically for this, that the 4 of us plus the baby can be together at the pool and relax. Therefore, my sister, whose birthday was, decided to take a walk with her fiance and my son, so myself and my husband can enjoy the pool. Then they missed their time swimming as their room card was deactivated, and decided not to bother the receptionist, who was dealing with checking guests for a wedding, therefore my sister ended up not enjoying all the facilities that I have paid for. Then we went to our massage sessions, which were amazing. The overall experience was nice, and maybe we will return one day.

We were here for a wedding fair and we stayed for a night. The dinner was superb, and the service was excellent. The morning breakfast had everything one would want for breakfast. The rooms, in the modern building, are clean and spacious, with beautiful bathrooms. The bedding and surroundings were all very clean. The pillows are awful, so lumpy. I know we stayed when a wedding was on, but the night time noise was absolutely horrendous. People banging on doors, singing and continuously talking from rooms on either side. Little sleep was had by us. But, on a positive note. The main Manor house is stunning, absolutely beautiful. The gardens are tidy and well kept. This place is a true gem if you decide to use it for an important occasion and it's in a lovely place of our gorgeous English countryside. It's well worth a visit.

We had our wedding at Horwood House recently, and absolutely loved every second of our day! The staff were all so lovely and helpful! Caroline who was our wedding coordinator, was absolutely brilliant! Such a lovely, thoughtful lady who couldn’t do enough for us! All of the ‘Harry’s’ bar staff were brilliant too especially the restaurant manger and Ahmed behind the bar. The rooms and facilities were spotless and the food was all delicious! All of our wedding guests loved Horwood House and we will definitely be throwing another party there soon!Thank you all so much for making our stay so special! We are a very happy couple!Would highly recommend!Hopefully see you all soon x

Went to Horwood house for a works Christmas do. It was very busy and lots of different groups. It was clearly laid out and made finding our table very easy. Name cards with our order printed on was a nice touch...there's always someone in the group that can't remember what they've ordered!For a mass catering event like that, the food came out hot and well presented. The whole table got there food at the same time.Those with allergies had them printed on the name label that made things easier.Overall a good spot for a Christmas party.

We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary for 1 night stay. We booked an executive suite with terrace, the reviews looked good but unfortunately we didn't enjoy our stay. Reception was very busy but the staff were lovely. The suite wasn't clean, we found rubbish on the sofa, cigarette ends, mouldy strawberries and weeds on the terrace and the bathroom floor was dirty. We were only there for the night and reception was so busy we didn't report it. The view was beautiful from our suite. The spa was so busy we couldn't swim or relax, we were meant to get robes but they'd only give us one as we explained there was a dirty one in our room (they wanted us to use the dirty one, apparently there should have been 2 clean ones in the room). We booked a table for dinner at 9pm and on arrival they had no table and again it was so busy there was no where to wait at the bar. When we finally got seated no one took our order and when we asked the waitress was extremely rude. We eventually got a drink the waiter apologised and offered us the drink for free as he seated us and released how long we'd been waiting. We were hopeful that we would now be able to enjoy a nice meal but the waitress continued to be very rude and food took ages. People that were seated after us had their food and drinks long before us, it was embarrassing, other guests started to make comments to us about the fact we were being ignored. The service improved as the staff came in from the wedding to help to be honest we ate the main course, paid and left as it was now really late and it definitely wasn't the relaxing evening or break we had hoped for.

Room was nice, hotel has been refurbished so all ok. Reception was never staffed and always had to ring for staff. Breakfast was ok, plenty of choice. Spa was ok, changing room could do with a bench. By the afternoon the pool area was very wet, puddles everywhere and lots of empty paper cups all over the place. Unless you reserve a lounger early you won't get one. Overall enjoyed our stay but could definitely be improved.
