Whitstable Swimming Pool

Friendly staff. Very reasonably priced. Clean changing rooms. Basic simple swimming pools.

Very tatty and dated, appeared filthy, floor slimy and dangerously slippery.. couldn't put my belongings away safely ( no keys) . Water in pool appeared clean.

Changing rooms are mixed. Not my thing. They are dirty, broken locks on changing rooms. Lockers are dangerous springs very sharp. Pool is clean, staff are lovely. I think the activities are overbooked so if you're just going for a swim you need know exactly what classes are on and when. Chairs in waiting area are disgusting.Editing review since my experience has gone from bad to worse. The water in the pool is over chlorinated so badly that even with immediate washing ny scalp itches for days. Ive had to go to my dermatologist for anti histamine and a private consultation.I understand that special needs people have every right to use the pool. But the pool should be shut to the public on these grounds. 1. The noise level is horrendous. 2. Some men are not supervised and float about the pool, they sadly do not have the ability to avoid contact when being overtaken and get upset and very verbal. No notice of this is taken by staff observing the pool. 3. Because the changing rooms are mixed the presence of several 3/4 naked men who need constant supervision in and out of toilets and changing rooms is most unsatisfactory. Contact is virtually unavoidable because these poor people have limited control of their body. Judging by the green slimy mess on the floor of the changing rooms it is clear why the pool is seriously over chlorinated.I'm withdrawing my membership of Active Life

Staff friendly, amenities good and value for money. Lots of activities good training room.

The air is sometimes a bit cooler than I'd like- or the pool. It would be nice if one of them were a bit warmer! The staff are always friendly and the pool is never too busy. I go on a Tuesday.

Took my 4 year old son swimming a couple of months ago and the staff were so kind and gave the best customer service! Particularly a man and lady, I wish I knew their names. Thank you both so much!

First time swimming for years. The staff are very well trained and helpful, l think that they're pleased to be back. It's necessary to call to book a lane - there are three double lanes, slow, medium and jaws - due to limited numbers of swimmers, 40 l believe. It was very clean, the water was warm and the showers were hot! I think it opens before 7a.m. There's a managed gym and a selection of drink dispensers and one can sit and relax before heading off. A positive experience and l hope to go 2 - 3 times a week. Can't upload pics as they're not allowed.
