After selling my daughters car for almost £7k we spent the day driving around looking for a slightly larger car. At every garage we visited we were greeted by very friendly sales people.........until we arrived at D&J!! We spent around 15 mins looking at 2 cars which ticked all the boxes and my daughter went to ask if we could have the keys to look inside.No was the answer as it was appointment only due to Covid and their antibac cleaning requirements.Ok fair enough but there was no one else there and no one arrived in all the time we were there not exactly rushed off their feet #tumbleweedMy daughter asked about a test drive and again No was the answer until we commit to buy! When she questioned how we could tell if the car was ok without a test drive the answer was 'all our cars are fine'.We stood outside for a while not really believing what had just happened. If i ran my sales business like D&J and was rude to my customers i would be quickly out of business. Simply the rudest most obnoxious sales person ive ever met!!One star is too higher rating!

Very very bad experience. I was told that I could test drive a Nissan Qashqai on the phone. Came in to view the car and was told I am not allowed to test drive unless I buy. The sales team were very bad and kept making excuses not to test drive. Will not recommend

Really poor customer service from the managing director. Very quick to take payment for a car that clearly has faults and not happy when you return during their trading hours to get it dealt with - actually threatened to ' personally drag the car off his forecourt' even though he sold me a faulty car 48 hours previously.If you're buying cheap cars from this garage then he has no interest and becomes quite personal and rude.The lady who deals with finance is actually very genuine and refunded the money the next day. Be very careful when dealing with this dealer! Customer service is clearly not important if you're not spending enough money with him!

I telephoned and booked an appointment to view a Land Rover Freelander. I arrived at the agreed time and looked at the car on the forecourt. I went inside the showroom and asked to view the service history file and was told “No, not until you’ve bought the car. You’ll just have to trust me.” Needless to say I got back in my own car and drove home. 3 hours of my life wasted.I then telephoned to let them know out of courtesy I would be posting an accurate review of my experience. Before hanging up abruptly on me, I was told they’d since sold the car anyway. What, with the mismatched tyres (one had a nail in it) and inability to view even a redacted service history file? Of course they did…I think I’ll now watch an episode of Minder to see the real Arthur Daley at work!

1 STAR IS TOO MANY!!!!Having purchased 4 cars in the past and always very happy with the service from Steven. He’s always helped us out and been extremely reasonable with regards to purchasing and taking our px however.....Steven seems to have moved on and left the pompous most condescending rude man and wouldn’t give the credit of calling a salesman.Having been to look at what I thought was a car in good condition however a little high on the auto trader price comparison turned out to be not quite what I was led to believe by the photos. Scratches all round and alloys scuffed completely.He seemed most put out that I even showed interest in the car let alone making an offer for the car and asking if the works to the car would be looked at.God forbid I asked him to consider my car part exchange bare in mind I purchased it from there 18 months previous.There’s more I could add, but guys I wouldn’t waste your time. Not only Steven has gone, but the stock levels, the quality, the customer service and hopefully the sales.

Decided to have a look at the car we've been looking for despite seeing the 1 star reviews, but we found them to be perfectly pleasant to deal with, no problem going for a test drive, no problem seeing history, no pushyness from anyone there at all, an thoroughly pleasant experience and we drove away the car we wanted an hour later (took a while to get through to the insurance company on the phone!), 5 stars, very happy, love the new car!

Nice selection of cars.Strangely wouldn't let us test drive until we were committed to purchase. We could have changed our minds still. Understandably don't rant card up and down getting filthy with no intention to buy.Didn't accept credit card payment .Overall nice friendly family owned business

Upon finding the perfect car last Friday evening (after closing time) we decided to travel the 90mins to arrive at the showroom for opening time the next day. The car looked immaculate and just like the photos. However, after being met with a very grumpy and unfriendly salesman we were show the inside of the car. We immediately noticed tears on the drivers side leather seats. This was not in the descriptions we had found on auto trader or the showrooms site. The pictures were cleverly taken to NOT show the damage. We enquired how much this would cost to repair and whether thIs was something the garage themselves could do. We were met with an abrupt no and it would cost £150-200. So next we asked whether this could be taken off of the asking price again a rather rude no. The guy stated this damage was taken into consideration when pricing the car. Would have been nice for potential buyers to be made aware of this before coming to see the car. I just feel the overall experience was extremely negative, from the misleading photos and written description to one of the most abrupt, rude salesmen I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Potential buyers beware and do your homework.

Went to take a look at the car to buy and I was a bit surprised that there was no one else. However, I had a look at the car on the inside and it all looked good to me and the only box for me to tick was a test drive. I was shocked when John told me that I can't take for a drive due to Covid and roads being too busy". How can you buy a car without a test drive ? He just lost a sale on the car"
