The Grove Medical Centre

Our family of 5 have now been with the Grove for more than 10 years and have always had very positive health care experiences.The AskMyGP service is excellent, and we never have to wait long to be contacted regarding our queries or concerns. The doctors, nurses, and reception staff seem to genuinely care, and when our needs have felt that bit more 'scary'or urgent, we have always felt that we are in safe hands.

The receptionist - Jules - is so extremely rude every single time I call the surgery. All reception staff seem to have major issues in their work place and enjoy taking it out on their patients. This has become such a problem that I am moving doctors surgery as absolutely soon as possible.Please - for your own mental health - avoid avoid avoid this surgery!

Systemic failures in this practice. The most horrific receptionists you could possibly experience, who do not support diverse groups, call you a liar when there is CCTV :) and when a manager was called the manager apologies and said that she knows there are on going issues here with the attitudes of the receptionist! Can you believe it, however the ongoing issues have exactly that, been ongoing for so many years it's absolutely disgusting and about time someone took the footage to Wales online and the health Secretary which is exactly what I am going to do. Appalling behaviour from grown women, the 'poster' for the NHS...

My partner and I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience with this practice. Getting an appointment or renewing a prescription is easy using the online services and there are some exceptional doctors there.

I have been a patient for many years at the Grove and cannot fault their service. With mygponline it gives people access to a GP via the internet and queries are acted on quickly by mail or phone. Some visits to have a face to face can be avoided . The older generation might not be able to use that service, but with online users there are more face to face spaces for non-online users. I recently needed to be seen urgently and I was seen within 4 hours after I phoned the surgery. I see different Dr's at times, but I find all of them very helpful, friendly and I feel listened to. The GP nurses are great too, take their time and have a vast knowledge.Appointments are on time in my experience. The receptionists are always friendly and helpful. With all the negativity surrounding GP services recently, I can say I am very happy with the Grove MC.

I have been with this practise for about 12 years and in my experience it’s the best practice ever. Everyone to the doctors, nurses, receptionists and admin staff are so friendly helpful and professional. I have never had a problem getting through to the surgery and no problem getting an appointment I telephoned yesterday about a problem and I was treated by Dr. Williams the following day. Last year I was very very I’ll after a gall bladder removal operation and if it wasn’t for Dr. Swan, I’m not sure I’d be here today. My husband, sister and brother-in-law are all patients and we all consider ourselves lucky to have such an outstanding service from this practice. We are so grateful to them all for their dedication and hard work. Thank you Grove Medical Centre, Swansea.

This medical centre is brilliant, all the staff and doctors couldn't be more caring and helpful, Dr. Soul took care of my health problems for which I'm truly grateful, also the askmygp service is second to none, thanks guys.

Excellent surgery.Ask my GP is a great system and easy to use. Staff are all very good especially Donna and Gareth the ‘greens’ who are an asset to the grove.

As a family, we have been registered with the Grove/Marina medical practice for many years. I have always experienced a prompt response & supportive care from the reception staff, GPs and nurses at both venues and I am grateful to have access to excellent medical care in such challenging times within NHS primary care.

I wrote a Google review on the Grove Medical Centre about a year ago after abysmal service and low and behold I was in the surgery 3 weeks ago seeing Dr Jack Williams when he asked if indeed it was me who had left the review and then continued a barrage of rubbish at me about it being detrimental to `his business` and libelous. He told me to either take the review down or find another GP practice. Couldn`t quite believe what I was hearing but indeed this is just a business to this person, no empathy about health at all really. Had a letter a few days later telling me I have 4 weeks to find a new GP.I have now registered with a new practice after 53 years with the Grove Medical Centre and so glad I did. Doctor Gwyne Jones who set this medical practice up would turn in his grave if he could see the way it is now being operated.A number of other patients I know at The Grove told me that they wouldn`t see Dr Jack Williams and I can now see why. Thankfully I won`t have to again :-)Do yourself a favour and avoid this surgery as it`s all about money.
