Halstead cafe
Halstead Café is a wonderful, cozy little place to dine, any time of the day, and is nice and warm inside with friendly staff.Very reasonable prices and good quality hot food that is well-cooked and not swimming in grease.Vegetarian options are available and lots of other meal options besides breakfasts available too.Coffees and teas are out of this world.Staff are aware and responsive and will often ask people seated if there's anything else they would like while eating.Drinks and portion sizes are generous.I would recommend it to anyone visiting Halstead for the day.Be aware that parking is local authority roadside parking, in painted strip bays on a rather steep hill. Parking bays are on a first come first served basis.

It's ok. Nothing special. Coffee was lovely. Had the roast beef meal. Was very boring. Swimming in gravy. All frozen esp beef. Ready meal from a supermarket came to mind and put on a plate.

Decent English breakfast, nothing spectacular, you get what you expect. I deducted a star for serving the wrong type of toast and not enough tissues on the table. Eggs were a bit rubbery, tea was served with milk without asking for our preference. Apart from this all seemed to be in order.

Great place.Friendly staff.Great atmosphere.Great honest food.Great prices.Great portions.A proper, traditional, English Cafe. Not fancy, but gives you exactly what it says on the packet.Love it. Good job!What is not to like about this place?

nice food, was out within less than 10 mins of ordering and was steaming hot, amazing value for money, was tended to by the lovely servers very fast!

We always enjoy this style of cafe for breakfast. Before arriving in Halstead we knew this was the cafe we wanted to go The menu has a selection of set breakfasts providing alternative items, also loads to chose from for lunches. On arrival sat down and had our drink order taken at the table by a friendly member of staff, food order take when given drinks. Excellent service, great atmosphere as it filled up during our stay. Would highly recommend if this is your type of cafe!!

I'm glad l went in there instead of Costa coffee over the road, nicely cooked and presented food at a very good price and a bit mug of hot coffee that tasted great and while I'm sitting there thinking about how many times I've been to Costa coffee and received half a cup of Luke warm chicory tasting coffee that's over priced dries your mouth and leaves a lingering bad taste l though this is a result.
