I am shocked to hear of an incident last week near Bere Alston of western power workers cutting back hedges at this late time of year and cutting through birds nests complete with babies and throwing some over a back field and others thrown into a commercial shredder ! Whatever next. I am appalled by this. RSPCA are involved apparently with an internal investigation underway. This should be a sack able offence in my view. I feed the birds daily and couldn't understand the mind set of anyone doing such a barbaric thing to a defenceless living creature.

What is the point of having an emergency line if all you do is hang up on people. We are a wildlife rescue centre with sick and injured animals and you are happy to leave us without power for 4 days.

A big thank you to Western Power for sorting out a bird poo problem from cables overhanging my drive. The drive and the car were getting a good plopping! mainly from some big pigeons and crows.Tanky and TD ? came and installed a deterrent covering as well as sticky up cable ties. It has been about three weeks now and the drive is completely clear of any bird poo, so it has worked fine.Thank you againKeith Preston
