Shirley Post Office

Not very impressed when I visit this branch, it is messy and untidy and from the minute you walk in is very old and outdated. The staff whenever I’ve visited are not friendly nor helpful and do not exercise the standards of customer service which are expected of them from the Post Office company.Wait times are often excessive and the other day I queued the other day for more than ten minutes. Additionally they’re a DPD Pick-Up shop but I don’t trust this service, I called before visiting and was told my item was there, upon going to collect it I was told it had been there for months and not collected (not true) and it had been returned; it was under the counter.I highly recommend not using this branch and instead looking nearby for your next nearest Post Office or the Royal Mail Customer Service Point across the road for better service.

Be prepared to stand in a queue for atleast 30 min. Welcome to bloody 1970s. They are always short of staff and people take ages. Some how post office is still another British icon that only has place in museum.

Service at this PO is just superb. The staff are always so helpful and friendly and make returning stuff using apps and barcodes seamless.

TODAY the customer service was so good I left the post office with a smile. Very helpful and nice people

I use this post office regularly, Steph (the manager) is worth her weight in gold. Always a pleasant experience & I always wait to be served by her. She’s a fantastic leader. 5 stars all day long.

I had a previously unpleasant experience with customer service at this place, leading me to swear off returning. However, upon hearing about a positive change from my neighbor regarding the cashier staff, I decided to give it another chance. I must say, the service was excellent! Kudos to the exceptionally professional and friendly lady from Poland, whose name I regret not asking.
