Cathedral Hotel
The reception was a little hard to find as it was in the old building, but the lady moved above and beyond for us. The hotel is currently being refurbished and we had one of the newer rooms. I was really worried at first and when I got there was so glad, great value for money and very clean. Got a little cold at night could’ve done with a better heating system, and no mugs in the room! If you want a drink you need to bring a cup. But overall was very happy with the stay! These reviews need an update!

Terrible. Room smelt awful and hadn't been properly clean, evidenced by the dirty socks in the bathroom from a previous occupant. Shower was coming off the wall and took about 5 minutes to warm up. Door to the bathroom hanging off hinges. Holes in the walls. Someone screaming to be let in to the hotel at 5 in the morning. I stay in Norwich regularly but will never return to this hotel. Only good thing was the staff were friendly.

Can you give negative stars? Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.. wait, didn't even stay, got a taxi home it was THAT bad. No heating, no toilet roll, smelt awful. Not sure how this can be classed as a hotel.

It felt pretty much like an incomplete project. It had so much potential like the bathrooms were completed to a very high standard however the rooms and the lobby and even the reception was literally not completed. If it is a 24-hour reception, why is there a door in front of it saying staff only"? This led to me being lost a few times trying to find the place. Also

Enjoyed our stay here, we booked at very short notice, and it met our needs.The staff were very friendly and helpful, and were available at all hours.The room was quite basic but comfortable. It definitely had more character than a Travelodge! And the self contained apartment style gave us a lot of freedom to come & go as we pleased and cater for ourselves.

I wish I had read the reviews before I stayed here . My room was like a broom cupboard, freezing cold , no window, no loo . Door to room was literally at the end of the bed. Was too tired to book elsewhere but couldn't wait to leave in the morning. Staff friendly though.

Me and my coligue were so happy staying at the Cathedral Hotel as they have new managment teem! Stuart the new general manager is an amaizing, kind and friendly figure head, and he has a super team including Josh, Matilda, Jordan, Jo, Danielle and Lyndsay! They are great, helpfull and kind team creating a most warm + welcome atmosphere! Hotel is very clean same as rooms, big smart tv with satelite and all apps such as netflix , prime etc..each room has remote air conditioner so its a big + as well!Thank you for all your help, well done + we will be back soon!

Booked a room here based on the photos on Google and agoda where I booked it from. I knew it was a cheap and cheerful hotel but jesus, I've seen better jail cells. The room if you can call it that, was more like a cupboard with a bed and TV in there. Not even enough space to stand up let alone walk around. Checked out within an hour and booked an actual room in a proper hotel elsewhere.

I LOVED it didn't think I would as I have been claustrophobic in past but the air con was brilliant and I really enjoyed my stay the bedroom and bathrooms were very clean and staff polite the room is compact with no windows but it's very clean and cool I would stay again!!!!!
