Opening times are incorrect on Google and on their Door signage too so they are probably open when you think they are not eg. Google says Opens at 2am when I went around 12pm and it was open. Food is great and better than some other Chippies in York I've visited. The Blue Fin Chippys or Micklegate Fisheries seem a bit better and bigger Chips and for the same meal at Micklegate Fisheries it's about £2 cheaper. The owners are great though and seem very, very nice and the place looks lovely, clean and tidy with a Ukulele to play in the Window :-)

Jenny's Fish & Chips
Jenny's fish and chips is one of the best fish and chips you are going to have in York. Quick service, the staff are friendly, and everything is very reasonably priced.It's quite a small place and gets warm very quickly from the deep fryers, but because they're so quick getting the food ready and to you, it's not too bad, though I do feel for the staff being stuck behind the fryers!

This is not an English owned or run chipshop. We purchased several meals from here and we ended up throwing them away. First the chips were awful, cold, tasteless and not fresh The jumbo sausage was hard and not fresh more stale then anything. The chicken breast was the size of a budgie and tasteless. Very overpriced and utterly disgusting food. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME coming here as you will just end up throwing it away and then regretting it later in the bathroom.

Ordered a few weeks ago and they got it wrong. Said next time they would correct. Ordered again tonight and the got it wrong as they wasn't reading the notes on orders. Called them and the lady was nice but the delivery bloke was rude and shouting. My food was cold and he was saying they made no mistake. Told me not to order again and gave me a refund. I was just a paying customer

Have had Jenny's a few times now and each time has always been lovely. Food is always delivered hot and quickly and you definitely get your moneys worth! I had my last delivery within 15 minutes of ordering - highly recommend this Fish and Chip shop, definitely one of the best in York!

Eaten here twice now and if my body could take it I’d eat here every day. Me and a friend popped in for the best cod and chips in York. These guys KNOW how to do the best F&C. Perfect batter, big portions, perfect chips (not soggy at all) and all cooked fresh. Lovely staff. Opposite a great pub Rook & Gaskill to boot! I’ve not tasted better in York. You can eat your takeaway inside at their window seats too. Thanks very much Jenny’s!
