We're away for almost a year it's still dark and miserable inside this store. I got to the pay desk £2.67 no please I asked why two items were £2.67?the small pie granted it was steak was £1.85. I changed my mind and returned said pie. I got a very dirty look from the manager, no way was I paying that for a little pie. This is never going to be a shop I would recommend the girls are all very nice, but that man is not good with the public and everybody passes comment's about his manner.

Great shop for your convenience with Instore bakery, a great selection of hot savoury pies and bridies. Great cream cakes always worth a look for a wee treat.

Most miserable staff I've ever encountered. Was in buying some pies, bridies etc for family lunch. The person serving literally sighed and rolled her eyes because I dared to ask for more than a couple of things. Also their selection of pies and bridies is boring as hell. If you don't like or want steak you're out of luck. There's no other options.

A bit over priced, prices marked on items sometimes are not respected at the till and products end up costing more. Be careful and check your receipt before you leave.

I just ordered 11 items from this store via (as a last resort may I add). I was sent an email saying 1 item (biscuits) wasn't in stock and would be refunded, which is wholly acceptable in my eyes. After 40 minutes I then receive the order and to my utter shock, out of the 11 items I ordered, only 4 items arrived.I have tried phoning the store to no avail and there is no way to contact an actual person to resolve this issue at Just Eat.Instead I now have to wait 7 days for them to put luck judge if this shambles of a service deserves a refund or not. What a ridiculous shop and ridiculous service. Had you initially said the 7 items were out of stock I'd have arranged for alternatives, however now all of the shops are closed and I'm stuck without the much needed essentials I ordered.

Typical of a local shop it is ideal for nipping out for a few handy bits for things you need for meals or lunches. Never had a bad experience in here.

They have budget buy range as well as their usual range. Staff friendly, there can be a queue for the cigarette counter rather than self checkout because in Whitburn we like to keep our shops open. Using self checkouts is less staff.... I have used them before when a queue though but I try to not

Very poor co-op, product range is pitiful. Shelves are often empty for particular items. Usually try to avoid this store and just go to Aldi at the top of the hill

Co-Op has been part of my life since childhood. Back in the day it was not just food it was all about collecting stamps and getting shoes or boots in my birth town. Before that there was the Co' Hall for the dancing. Things have changed from the great auld days. Sadly now it is just another store in the town to pick up what is needed for the weekly shop....However, I still love the idea of walking into the local Co', the staff are auld roots through and through and that is what a town needs...However the Co-op today overall has kind of forgotten they were the backbone for villages and towns where the most struggling would be fed at the most affordable prices with the best foods....I understand today is not yesterday and I will continue to use my town Co-op maybe more for my Grannie's memories and her stamps than cost affordability. Despite that view, staff are fantastic, store is clean and easy to wander through.
