We stayed here for 1 night and having seen the latest reviews was a little nervous. However, we had a great stay. There are no staff onsite; you are sent your entry code a few hours before check-in. Rooms were clean and comfortable, exactly what we needed. Hotel was very central to everything. If you use the Redbridge Park and Ride, the bus drops you right outside the hotel's front entrance. If you just need a room for the night (travelling with a backpack), I would highly recommend. If you're looking for added comfort and amenities that you would genuinely except from a staffed hotel, this isn't the pace for you.

Fantastic location, super comfortable and modern room. I also liked that the hotel was seemingly staff-less and that you essentially check yourself in. (You are sent your access codes a few hours prior to arrival, and getting access to the building and room (super secure) was easy) -it's nice just to be able to get on with it! Wifi was really good and the smart TV was a great touch. Did not have breakfast, can't remember if it was even an option so cannot comment on that. Will be back!

More an air B&B than a hotel, with no staff on site (cleaning staff were very helpful). You get a pin code shortly before check in so generally you aren’t going to be able to drop your bags early.City centre location, so great, but really noisy all night as the rooms are above a pub. We also had a bunch of students blasting music at 4am.Overall depends what you’re after, but relaxing it is not…

Stay Away! Not a hotel!Noisey, not cleaned terrible service and extremely worn out.The Noise goes beyond what you would expect from a city centre location. There is no sound proofing. The staff didn't allow access until way after check in time. Stating they were cleaning. But the place was a mess with dirty dishes still in the dishwasher. Not even youth hostel standard.

Partner booked without looking at the reviews!!Absolutely awful. Massively overpriced. The entrance was through a back door located down a dingy alleyway right next to a taxi rank/betting shop.Hallway was dirty, carpet was ripped and it stank to high heaven!Aircon didn’t work, Room was tiny, sheets had stains, towels had stains. The “executive lounge” that is apparently stocked with a variety of complimentary snacks and soft drinks, is nothing but a room with a fridge and bottled water. No hot water, had to call the receptionist who didn’t call back but rather sent a text to say it ‘should’ be working in 20minutes.Had to open windows as again, no air con. Then of course not a good nights sleep due to the noise from the taxi rank below. It was honestly shocking and HUGELY different than advertised on the website.I would avoid air b&b trying to disguise itself as a beautiful, artistic hotel.

AC needed to be serviced (made a noise that kept us up even when off), standard room was minuscule, nowhere to put bags. Access through a back alley, not a reception. And yes, walls are paper thin. I was intrigued about it being a 500 year old boutique hotel, but not sure they captured the charm. Bed was comfortable and shower had good water pressure. Would not recommend

Scam! Stay away! They advertise this as a hotel but it's a Airbnb at best. The entrance for our bedroom was shared with a 24h betting shop full of weird people. The stairs to access the room are so narrow that if you have any suitcase it will be a real struggle to squeeze in. The room is tiny, no shelves or even a stool to put your clothes, only 2 clothes hangers (one broken), the window is facing a pub's roof with their exhaust fan facing the window (noisy and smelly all the time). The toiletries are NOT the spa ones advertised in their photos (they're cheap and nasty), not to mention we arrived to find a used hand soap, multiple half used toilet rolls in a drawer and an empty toilet roll on the floor in the bathroom. During our days in there, we had no room service / cleaning whatsoever. No one came to do the bed, refill toiletries, nothing. The air con doesn't work and the tiny room gets stuffy - remember, if you open the window all you can smell is cooking oil from the pub. On our last day, despite the do not disturb" sign we decide to use

As others have said, there are pros and cons to this boutique hotel which is more like an Airbnb. We stayed for one night and it was fine for that.Pros: clean and nice decor in an antique building. Great location. Breakfast left out was nice to grab and go in the morning.Cons: very expensive. Very small room. Challenging to find and no staff on site. The location is very noisy. And air conditioning/heat did not work in room.

Took 2h of waiting to receive instructions to get in and no staff is on site. No regular window in the room. I highly do not recommend this hotel.
