Its so hard to find a groomer who understands how to handstrip a Wirehaired Dachshund's coat and also when I can't be stripped. This was our first visit to Kistor and certainly won't be our last, they made my hairy hound look amazing. From the moment that we stepped in the door I felt totally at ease leaving my Wirehaired boy with them, it was fully explained to me how they would strip the bits that could be stripped and snip the softer parts of his coat that can't. I gave them a hairy hound, they gave me back a super sleek Sausage Dog. We have found our grooming home!

I will not go anywhere else now. I have finally found a groomer for my shih tzu! Sometimes it feels like Goldilocks and the 3 bears….one groomer not up to standard but my dog loves them. Another groomer has a good standard but my dog doesn’t feel great there. But Kistor….finally! My dog loves them, he’s pampered like a prince, best groom he’s ever had! Honestly, recommend.

Amazing salon! They have so much patience with our two wire-haired dachshunds and nothing is too much trouble. have tried other salons in the past for hand stripping and they are a cut above the rest. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, the dogs are happy to arrive and are clearly loved and well looked after while they are there. As a previous reviewer has said they are definitely the best in the Bay, particularly for hand stripping.

I've been going to Kistor for years with my pooches!! They absolutely love going there to see the girls! They come out looking like puppies again even though they are 14 years old and come out smelling absolutely gorgeous! Would most definitely recommend!!

I only ever post if I think something is really bad left my yorkie for a haircut and 2 hours later he'd only had a wash and dry definitely would not recommend my little boy was obviously in a cage so asked them not to cut him and took him to another groomer you don't ever see or hear any dogs in the room upstairs ?
